The last score came in after this was posted.

The main issue is that Kaufmann only plays weekends and I am away the next two. One for canoe camping in Algonquin and one for an Ultimate tournament in Rochester. Neither of these activities timelines would make it likely that I'll return in time to play on the Sunday.

we all have crap to do, you guys will figure it out.
i talked to phillips and briggs and phillips will switch 1/2 wih each other.

what happened is phillips and k-kyles match was a default to K-kyle (3-0) and phillips who lost the defaulted match pulled ahead of briggs in the tiebreakers (GP, +/-) without playing the game. something to fix i guess next year. smile

Traditionally a game played was a game that had a result and was not forgotten about by both.

Yeah, I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but when do you expect the finals in each division to be? I'm leaving the country for seven weeks on September 20.

Jumping the gun as in why the hell are you asking about the finals when you have not won 1 hole in the playoffs yet? big grin
or
it takes you guys 30 days to play one game, and your wondering if by chance you guys will get 3 games done in 20 days? We can try to push them, and speed stuff up, but only so fast.

Wondering because the rules on the google site say Round 1 to Sept 10, Round 2 to Sept 17, and Round 3 to September 24. That means that if I make the finals, all rounds could happen within that timeframe, and I could miss none of the matches, if the finals are before the 20th. If the finals are after the 20th, and I make them, I won't be able to play until after November 10. Can I get three matches done in the next eleven days? Yes. Should the first two rounds be done by the 17th? According to your schedule, yes.

If I have to leave for Spain before I'm eliminated from the playoffs, what happens?

and it also says right below it that these dates are estimates. what you should take from this is round one lasts 10 days after reg season ends usually as its an estimate. rnd 2 can take 7 days and rnd 3 can take 7 days. but it varies. sometime people get busy. sometime rnd 2 takes 10 days and the final is done in 2 days. It varies.
you can play 3 games sure in 11 days, but your dependent on others playing that many games too. you need opponents to play.

Atos, your going to win in the playoffs because your opponent either throws in the towel or you win.
Last playoffs started sept 4th
rnd 1 ended sept 17th (13 days)
rnd 2 ended sept 25th (8 days)
rnd 3 ended oct 10th(15 days)
and the final was nov 3rd (24 days)

not a peep last year, like i said, don't really enforce playoff sched, it just happens. People have always gotten it done. There is not a real history of me enforcing it, and honestly I think this specific area you cite is from 2009. That was the last time playoffs started on the 1st of sept.

Alot Depends on how patient the others are in your group really. What do you think should happen?

How long ago did you know your going away? 12 days to go and we are learning about this now...?

its the 9th today, the rules say that you are focused on say the 10th is the end of rnd one so how about we see what the deal is on the 11th?

your opponent is injured and according to the rules will get some leeway (injuries, and it says under the area your focused on these dates are estimates--2x) also im not going to start busting his balls on sept 11th. he's told me about his injury already in the proper time. so if he thinks he should be ready to roll in the days from 11-14 your going to have to wait for him.

Adams over OMR 6-5 at Kanata

It took a couple of extra holes to settle this one.
