This is similar to what the original baskets in rundle park in edmullet looked like.

They were called saucer-cones.

Eliminate the most expensive part of the target; the chains. I wonder if the savings is passed on the to customer.

They still have these on a few courses in Indiana. Fort Wayne has a full 18 hole course just to add a bit of nostalgia.
