I knew I was standing on the wrong side. Note to self - Always stand on the right hand side of a Tyrant _________________ If you can't win the event in regulation, try, try, try again. |

Thanks Andrew, Ben, and all of the volunteers.
Here's to the good golf I watched everyone play. Nice work, Gavin!
Cheers to being even par when the course still looked like this:
Congratulations to all of the winners, including the Ottawa Food Bank!

Last year we had the second most successful ice bowl, getting beat out by Durham Bridge, New Brunswick.
Ottawa: 34 participants, $3152, 620lbs
Durham Bridge: 63 participants, $3675, 1331lbs |
We've already got Christie beat in $ donations thanks to the carry over from IL. |
I figured.
Get out there and buy some heavy food, folks! |
We schooled Christie in both categories with half the amount of participants!
Official totals will hopefully be in by the end of the week or early next week. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

Unofficial IL/IB $ donation total: $3120
Additional donation* from DGW: $32
*: The Disc Golf World donation is from the fundraiser discs I bought for the Ice Auction.

- ... a record-breaking Ice Bowl in the books with 263 paid registrations.

Did Kin hit an ACE? Those are impressive numbers. Hungry people are being fed. These people are our neighbors. I have once heard a number of 1 in 4 families use the food bank at some point. And with expenses like they are it would not surprise me. A great tradition. |

Kin ran the Ace Race this summer, in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. He agreed to donate the money as part of our Ice Bowl contribution. _________________ 1020 rated lunch preparationist |

The senior lady that took this picture was one of the seniors that participated in the disc golf tournament my daughter and I ran last May on behalf of the ODGC for the Kanata Senior Games.
They are interested in us doing the same this year. The 'tournament'/round was on a weekday morning and was finished by noon. I will post details once they become available if you are interested in helping this year. _________________ Frolfing happily along. |

Please keep me in mind for that Mike. I'd be interested in helping with that.

I've submitted my report to the Ice Bowl HQ with the details of the 2013 Ice Bowl.
Worldwide results can be viewed at their website;
http://icebowlhq.com/2013-results.html
You may notice that our donation totals are a bit lower this is because I was requested to convert them to USD. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |
