For those who like to keep track of these things, the QB Challenge standings by player handicap. These will determine the pools this week.
RankHandicapNameRound 1Round 2Total
12.3Darcovich, Ken5954113
33.3Vallee, Andrew5958117
73.9Kilpatrick, Shane6656122
24.2Wormald, Rob5955114
54.2Prange, Cyle6258120
55.7Doucette, Rob6258120
46.9Reitlingshoefer, Claus5860118
117.0Lariviere, Jeff6964133
87.2Fisher, Kyle6659125
99.8Seguin, Serge6860128
1412.3Atos, Mark7468142
1012.6Adams, Mike7260132
1514.5Bourgeois, Paul7375148
1215.0DeCoste, Holly7663139
1315.0Hale, Rob7764141
1624.0VanZandwyk, Dan8780167

Note that Rob's and Cyle's tied handicaps means that they must be in the same pool. The same is true for Rob and Holly (though they would always have been in the same pool anyways).

Pool B: Reitlingshoefer, Lariviere, Fisher, Seguin, Atos
Pool C: Adams, Bourgeois, DeCoste, Hale, Vanzandwyk

Yes, made necessary by the tied handicaps.

Yes, as explained above, but surely not a card of 6 and a card of 5....

Still seems contrary to the "as many pools as possible" stuff, but sure.

It takes four people to make a pool. Ideally, there would be four pools next week. Unfortunately, because there is a tie for fourth, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 4 must play in the same pool. That leaves 11 qualifiers, from which we can make two more pools. In the spirit of competitive action, Pool A gets a sixth player, as Prange and Doucette are tied on raw score.

Now, we're down to ten people for Pools B and C, which results in two pools of five, and the player breakdown as I posted above. smile

Surely you're correct Ken. The cards would look like this, if all 16 play, and they are the only 16 to play (it gets tricky if 1,2, or 5 non QB players attend):

Card 1: Darcovich, Wormald, Vallee, Prange
Card 2: Doucette, Kilpatrick, Atos, VanZandwyk
Card 3: Reitlingshoefer, Fisher, Seguin, Lariviere,
Card 4: Adams, DeCoste, Hale, Bourgeois

For anyone interested, I will be running a side pot starting this week. $2 for best raw score. 100% payout each week
