Thanks to everyone who helped with this year's CC. Especially Rob as TD, and Eric as groundskeeper extrordinaire. It really was a great effort by the whole club.

Congratulations to Geoff Penton on his first PDGA Open win. His final round was excellent. Also on the last card with me were Jeff Meldrum and Eric Vinet, for some great golf together over the final 18 holes.

Already looking forward to 2011.

Big thanks to Rob, Carl, and all others that helped with this great event. As well, a big thanks to Eric, and everyone else who has contributed to getting the course in the shape that it is. The course is in amazing shape!

Congrats Geoff, John, and Mark on your respective wins.

Oh, and thanks to Andros for joining my rapid decline to the bottom of AM1 on Sunday! smile

I wore my hat to bed.

Signs got installed Saturday morning and every time I saw one I smiled HUGE. You can see these things from across the course. Meldrum, you did a fantastic job! thumbsup

The Blinky card started the weekend off right. I've never been involved in such a supportive and positive group of cards. Jeff, Eric, Carl, Ben, Chris, and Ken, thanks for letting me witness some great golf, and share a wonderful weekend.

Twirly and Carl, congratulations on a superbly run tournament. 1 hour ahead of schedule on Saturday, meant 1 more hour to spend with sweaty and wet beautiful women. Finishing early on Sunday meant more time to spend with my kids before they went to bed. Thank you.

Great to see some out-of-towners on the mountain and even better to see some of the “newer” Ottawa golfers out there.

Fortune looks beautiful folks. Feel proud.

Stole this from the DGO Forum:

I avoided delving into this on the CDN Open thread to avoid the usual rants that follow any mention of the PDGA but some quick research shows that anyone paying the $10 at a tournament can get a PDGA number reserved and the corresponding custom stamped mini.

Just making sure people are informed that they do receive something tangible for their $10.

Thanks to everyone who made this happen...Rob & Carl , can run a sideshow of Dg'ers pretty smoothly. Course looked great , thanks to all the mowers , rakers , diggers , cutters , pushers , pullers... it takes a complete club effort to have a course look that good .

And the signs - what about those eh ? -- Thanks Jeff's !

Penton , solid playin' out there !

Had a blast !

Rob Hale's and my scores are inverted in the Intermediate category. My rounds are recorded as his, and his as mine.

Also, I have a PDGA number now: 44989

Pls check?

Cheers,
Mark

Ratings are now posted. Nice 1007 rated final round, Ken.
Capital Classic Results

I'll get these scores into the ratings database for QB5 beginning next week.
