For the sake of flow on Tuesday nights I thought I would start a talk on provisional throws. At Ettyville the rough is the craziest jungle ever. As soon as you throw one in the shule you should throw a provisional. That way i don't have jackasses yelling 250 feet away for where i should be looking for their lost discs while they walk back to rethrow.

Same applies at CF. If you huck it in the shule and you are at all concerned then throw a provisional. If you don't the three minute rule is going to get enforced pretty tightly.

Only one issue with this that is easily solved:
If your provisional goes in the shule too, you'll be looking for two discs.

Easiest solution? USE A SPOTTER! Last person on the pad walks ahead and spots for the first two or three, and then they go back and shoot ONCE EVERYONE HAS FOUND THEIR DISC. Then, the guy that's last has two to three spotters.

Easy peasy.

Spotting isn't standing around, watching everyone's disc land, and then taking off before they're found. That's just a waste of time.

I agree with both. This I think is being brought up because of the HUGE drives that Carl and Claus pulled out from 600' from the basket, in a wide open field. No one could have anticipated a spotter was needed.
