Instructions on how to get to these courses will be posted prior to the respective events. Check back the week of the event for details, or search the forum for instructions.

We will be making our first throws at the start time, SHARP!

You MUST be at the course at least 15 minutes before the posted round start time to register.

Start times are when the round will begin. Your cooperation in being at the course to register 15 minutes prior to the start time is not just a suggestion: it is a sign of your respect towards your fellow players. Start times are hard: you are expected to have registered and to be on your assigned pad at the start time.

Daylight availability drives the start times and card assignment. Cards are assigned to maximize the number of 3 player cards throughout the entire year.

Random card assignments speak for themselves. If you are interested in learning more about random card assignments, you may volunteer to help fill in the cards during registration.

Thirds cards see the field distributed according to handicap:
Example: Card 1= 1-4-7; Card 2= 2-5-8; and Card 3= 3-6-9.

Simple 3's see players grouped in their quarterback challenge pools according to their aggregate score over the previous two weeks. Some players may be required to play on mixed pool cards. If required, mixed pool cards will consist of those players who scored rounds at the bottom of their respective pools. Players that do not qualify for the QB challenge are assigned to cards according to their disc golf handicap. Players without a disc golf handicap will be grouped together on simple 3's weeks unless they are competing in the quarterback challenge.

A special message to golfers who have never played disc golf at an ODGC event:

The Tuesday and Thursday league nights are your chance to explore the area's disc golf courses. If you enjoyed throwing discs at Jacques Cartier Park, you can continue to enjoy the game this season by participating in ODGC weekly events. Tuesday and Thursday league play is designed for the full spectrum of talent, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Daylight hours are always at a premium on Tuesday evenings and they can disappear quickly, especially at the beginning and end of the season. The schedule has been designed to provide roughly 120 minutes of daylight most weeks.

Nobody likes to finish in darkness, and starting on time is important to finish comfortably. Registration closes fifteen minutes before the start time. This will be reiterated in every Tuesday night event posting this season.

The vast majority of players arrive at the course with plenty of time to register. These people are keeping the start times crisp and the finish times bright. If this describes your dedication and routine, then I thank you; you keep Tuesdays running smoothly. The following is intended for those that have demonstrated difficulty in making it to the course early:

If you are not registered prior to my writing the last name on the last score card, you might not be permitted to participate in the evening events. Score card assignments will begin shortly after the close of registration, and the posted start times will be respected.

In order to relieve some of the pressure on those that find it particularly difficult to make it to the course early, I am prepared to accept your pre-registration, either by phone (I don’t carry a cell phone, but you may know somebody at the course that does) or via the forum. If, before 12:00 noon on the day of the event, you post in the appropriate Tuesday Night thread that you will be on time for the start but late for registration, I’ll include your name on one of the score cards. Those on your card will wait up to 15 minutes for you to arrive before starting their round.

After a fifteen minute wait, your card will proceed without you. You will receive a penalty of par plus 4 strokes per run that you miss (as per the rules of disc golf). I will check the forum at noon on the day of the event, but I will not honor forum pre-registration (or cancellations) unless the time stamp on your post is 12:00pm (noon) or earlier.

Pre registration is a privilege that I will extend to everyone. However, if you pre register and fail to show up at all, your future pre registration requests will be refused.

It is our right to start on time. The tardiness of one or two will not tarnish the expectations and enjoyment of the game that the majority of golfers have come to appreciate.

See you on time on Tuesday!
