The Tuesday night league continues on August 4 at Camp Fortune. Action will be from the short pads.

All disc golfers are welcome regardless of ability. Even if you've never played in an ODGC event or tournament, we would like to have you join us for League Nights.

Quality footwear is required at Camp Fortune. Wear shoes appropriate for hiking on uneven terrain. Directions to the course are available if you click here.

We'll be gathering at the picnic table near the practice basket (near the entrance to the main lodge).
Note that start times have moved to 6:15.
We will begin the round at 6:15pm this week, so:
Be at the hill before 6:00 to register!

Bring exact change. Fees are $5 for all players. ODGC memberships will be available as well.

See you on Tuesday!

Ottawa force doing what the Gatineau force does on the other side of the bridge. Gatineau nails Ontario plates, Ottawa nails Quebec plates...this has being going on for decades.

A note on the thunderstorm watch we've been issued:

The only weather we don't play disc golf in is a thunderstorm. There's a EC-issued watch on right now for one this afternoon.

With the caveat that I'm not a meteorologist, it looks like it's sitting about 200 km away at this time, and is travelling at about 50 km/hr. It's about 50 km wide as well. We should see it at about 5:00, and it should finish blowing through by about 6:00.

It never rains at Fortune anyways. See you there!

The way those storms are moving (north west) we might get lucky and miss the worst of it to the north.

The thunderstorm looks like it will definitely hit Ottawa-Hull and further north. A smaller one to the south just joined up and the main storm is intensifying. It's moving really fast and should be through by the time we are ready to start our round.

Round Results: To follow.

Conditions: Partly Cloudy. Light Rain.
Temp: 18C
Wind: SW9km/h

Pretty cool to see the clouds parting on the way to the course, while the city was being soaked.

Congratulations, Shane, Kyle, and Paul!

I could see the sun shining on CF as I was driving through the rain and lightning. Never rains on the golf course.
