Hello ODGC members, I will be hosting a tournament on July 11th and ofcourse you are all invited. It is about 1 and 1/2 hrs from Montreal.

More info: at the Sherbrooke discgolf wedsite http://sites.google.com/site/discgolfsherbrooke/

It is a tonal course that is now 2 years old in a beautiful location. Short but challanging. The course has improved %1110 since last year. Hope some of you can make it.....oh yes-right-on.

Actually Simon is not that big, He is 6ft tall and no more than 125 lbs, I looked for any sign of a muscle on him to no avail.
I hadn't seen him play in about a year and he has definately improved. His putt is quite impressive. One doesn't wonder if he putts with authority or commitment, one wonders how his release generates such a high spin bullet beam. His big bomb drive will not help him on this course, the $100 is there for the taking for anyone who can play a good string of tight short holes.
There is one prize however, the best score that beats him.

I realize ofcourse that ottawa is about 5 hrs from Sherbrooke, but I can assure anyone who happens to be travelling somewhat in the area that a detour to Lost in Lennox will not dissapoint and a great day and challanging course awaits you, dispite it's shortness. Tonals are the targets.

Will this event be sponsored by the Hells Angels?

That is a common mistake, you must have read the map incorrectly. The house accross the street belongs to the 'Snails Angels', a respected old folks home. They will have a lemonaide stand up and running for the event.

The 'Snails' have been instrumental in relocating thousands of stinging nettle plants and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.

The event is sponsered by Innova and the sunshine.

I've just been made aware of the ODGC policy on tournament promotion on this web-site, so I appologize for ommitting where the proceeds from the tournament are going. Here it is what it is:

As advertised there is %100 payout after $10 is removed from entry fees for the players pac. ( a disc, a mini, and snacks ).
There are 9 trophies to be given out and a permanant one to be engraved. Although homemade, there is a cost.
Ace pot and C.T.P. are included in the entry fee.
A promotional draw for 3 discs included in entry fee

http://sites.google.com/site/discgolfsherbrooke/Home/english

Outside sourse disc purchases for added prizes will be awarded
There is a cost for course upgrade materials ( specifically for the event).
(just grass seed for t-pads has been $32)

Although it is impossible to forclose a complete account until after the event I can assure the ODGC that there will be no monetary profit generated from this 'development' tournament, even for the Sherbrooke Discgolf club.

As was the case last year and if I were to care, Lost in Lennox will cost me close to $500. Not a loss, but a gain for Discgolf, the players attending and hopefully a little visibiliy here in Sherbrooke.

This statement holds true even if all players buy one disc from my small inventory.

Thanks Pete, good times. Love those tonal trophies by the way, they look great. Charles seemed to be totally pumped about the game, hope he lets you put a course in on Mt Orford. The drive up had amazing views second only to the fact that I did not see, not one bug! Shocked Must be because Rougemont and all their orchards are west of the course.
Next time that 14 year old from Germany can't play with us, minus eleven each round?

Here are the results and photos

I'm really glad you came down Surge, it helped give the event that elusive inter-provincial flavor that we were looking for. Although brief, I'm happy to have met you and Jeff.
Generally there are not that many bugs at the course but the sun was certainly a welcome surprise.
Charles e-mailed me and he remains excited about his introductory discgolf experience...we will see what happens down the road.
Next time I'll tape my mouth when the Montreal boys invite me over for one beer the night before an event. I think they thought I'd bring Simon ( in Germany you can buy/drink beer and wine at 16) but it was me who fell victim to their hospitality.
Simon is 16 and we expect a good finish at the European Open this August.

Right-on...till the next time
