Thanks, great.

I am in Algonquinn Hotel Apartments, room 808. If I am not down by 6:30, perhaps ask the management to ring me. (Should not be necessary).

Stefan,

I can NOT pick you up tomorrow.

I just did the stupidest thing in my life I ran my car dry of oil. mad
I'm screwed, the engine is knocking and its leaking oil.
I cannot drive it, I have to get a new engine now apparently and I just
bought 4 brand new tires today for 500 large.

I'm sorry, I was really excited to go to MTL.

Looks like i'm taking the bus to work again. disgusted

Many thanks to Mr. B and the whole crew for the great tourney.
The weather was perfect, the course beautiful, the ladies sweet and the rest I don't remember.

Too bad JJ won again (bastard!), but it was nice to see that I have not forgotten to play discgolf. (The results: JJ: 102 (51+51), Stefan: 108 (58+50), Johny D. 109 (59+50)).

Okay, the results...

Firstly, I want to thank all of our big travellers! Without your attendance not only would our field have been divided in half, but the brightness of Montreal would have been dimmed without your luminous presence!

Thank you to Big Mac and Craigger Rocker! for not only driving up, but for bringing back two of Rockets' castaways!

Thank you to Juicy Jay for bringing some real heat to the table and showing the Montrealers what real disc golfers are made of! And thanks for the prize donations and bringing your radiant orange basket--I'm sure the news helicopters monitoring the traffic on the bridges were confused by such a bright beacon!

Thanks also to the Ottawa crew who forsook the opportunity to play sherpa at the Camp Fortune installation and decided to spend the loveliest day of this year with us in the park! You guys in O-town are our closest disc golf cousins and without your presence our scene would be lessened immensely.

Thank yous also go to the ADGM for their help in securing permission to play in this AWESOME park! And to Fabrice for bringing out Eliot and spending the day with us.

And finally, thanks to the women, who once again filled out almost 20% of the field! Keep playing tournaments and having fun, cuz there's nothing as nice as a woman's smile!

Book some time--if you can!--for our two-day 18 hole event August 15-16. Come back to Montreal and see what the buzz is all about!

Dear Ottawa,

I sincerely apologize to any and all who might have taken offense at a part of my comments in my previous post. It was not my intention to belittle anyone by employing any pejorative tone, attitude, or words.

To my mind a sherpa is a noble human, enriched by an elevated spirit, and much holier than most westerners. They do and have done for centuries the hard labour of support, navigation, guidance, and leadership. They have crested the summit of Mount Everest since before western society learned what a bath was, certainly beating Edmund Hillary to that punch hundreds of years ahead. And HE got knighted and endowed with some nice pocket change!

I have a great amount of respect for the ODGC and the Ottawa golfers, and it was not my intention to belittle anyone the immense labour in installing an incredible course at great personal effort. I am confident that ANYONE who has ever played that course would add their congratulations and appreciations to those responsible, and to the club for its maintenance and administration of the course.

I am looking forward to coming to town in a month and seeing all of you, my friends, and meeting new ones at the Big Man too! I hope many of you will add our event at Ettyville to your wish list as well. John Pytel is an awesome and classy guy and this tournament is as much about him as it is about disc golf, so it would be awesome to share your appreciation at that tournament with him for all his efforts for disc golf.

Be well and enjoy the course and the people who installed it!

Bee
