Darco will be out of the country next week, but he's passed the reins over to me for a week.

This week's format is scheduled to be "Columbian Roulette" which balances nicely with their flag, and our teepad colours.

We will play at JCP, 6:15 pm sign-in, golfing at 6:30 pm. Try to come early as you need to think a bit more to best prepare for this format.

Format will be ADV-INT doubles, "Colombian Roulette".

Briefly the details are:

Each player must play from exactly 6 of each tee colour. A player and his/her partner may not tee from any same tee.

One mulligan will be allowed on drives only, to a maximum of one mulligan per player per tee colour.

If a putt is missed, a player may elect to try the putt again. If the re-try is successful, only one putt is counted, if the re-try also misses, both attempts are counted and the player still must complete the hole. One such episode per player per hole allowed.

Your team's combined score will determine the final scores.

Those players who earned $ at the Überworks last week:

$9.15 - Euro
$8.66 - Lee
$6.83 - Dan
$4.29 - McMike
$1.73 - Cristian
$1.61 - Unky Steve
$0.87 - Stéphane

... will get paid or receive a discount when they attend their next Thursday League Night.

Edit: Bring no radios. Bring duck recipes instead.

See you next Thursday. GO SENS GO!!!

Splash,

What game are you referring to? "Bring a radio, as the game will start towards the end of the round, but there will be plenty of time to see the last few periods of the game, and enjoy some duck stew or duck soup at your favourite neighbourhood pub.

See you next Thursday. GO SENS GO!!!"

The Jays play the White Sox at home, but I didn't know we had that many baseball fans.

Sens play on Wednesday everyone, not Thursday!

Even better!

This exhausting wait between games is intolerable.

I'll have some spare scorecards for those who get to the park a bit early so that they can work out their ideal set of teepads to play.

Give it some thought, and you'll have an even better round.

See you tonight!

Despite the tornado warnings to the west of us in, 10 people showed up to play Columbian Roulette tonight at JCP. The winds weren't all that present at the course, although we did get to see some lightning after the round, while watching a 100' Coast Guard hovercraft burn fuel and destroy natural water shoreline habitat on the Ottawa River. eek

Those who got there early were able to work out their ideal set of teepads, and got an early start on the course. Next year I would recommend pushing up the announced "start time" to accomodate all the last minute preparations that this format requires.

Scores:

1. Serge Séguin & Bevanoid (0, -6) = -6, 5 pts, $12 each
2. Kevin Grignon & Wilder (-3, -1) = -4, 4 pts
3. Don Lane & Levis (-7, +4) = -3, 3 pts
4. Jeff Larivière & R'n'r Outlaw (-3, +2) = -1, 2 pts
5. Eric Vinet & Thanghorn (-9, +21) = +12, 1 pt

Payouts from last week were also given the following players:

- Cristian Haire-Foster (though the juniors who showed up tonight)
- Steven Watts (ditto)
- Lee Porter
- Stéphane Myre (donated back to the club - thanks!)

Geoff B - I gave your $12 winnings from tonight to Wilder to pass on to you.
Latest League Night Ranking

Next week we'll be playing the popular "Coup d'état" format that was designed here in Ottawa last season.
