The Weave.

ADV-INT teams playing double alternate from the Blue tees.

We'll meet by the first tee at JCP. Sign-in from 6:15 pm, tee-off at 6:30 pm.

Fees are $6 members (with dues paid!!), $10 non-members. or three free sessions for new players.

The 2006 Ace Pool was unclaimed, so we're starting off with a juicy $180 up for grabs.

I'd be there if I could, but it's doubles night tonight at Rundle Park in Edmonton, and it's a bit closer for me today than JCP.

See you guys at League next week. I get back early on the morning of the doubles event out at OMR's.

They are down to 15 holes from their original set of 18 due to the complaints of ONE old woman who lives down the street from the course.

They've recently obtained permission and $50K funding money to do upgrades to the course, which will include paved teepads, and a partial redesign.

I was at League Night last night and placed 3rd/14 (cashed and donated it back to the club) but I didn't get much love from the course. Chad Gamelin ran away with the top prize with a -8.

The teepads are looking a little rough, but that is understandable as they will soon be paved over.

Nice group of players. Their web site is being re-designed as well, and will likely be up and running within the month.

A very modest turnout of 5 players on the evening of Round 3 Game 1. There was a lot of soccer on the south side, so we modified the plan and played the weave on the north side, the first 9 on Blues, the second nine on Yellows. With an odd number of players, Mike McCormick played two discs rather than weave.

Results:

1. Mike McCormick -4
2. Stéphane Myre and Ken Darcovich -3
3. Eric Vinet and Rod Nicholls EVEN

Mike took the payout of $15.

No Aces, pot moves to $185. We thought for a minute however, that we had a black Ace, a drive on 11 was a dead-center smash on the basket 10 chains, but somehow bounced out.

Not many players but we did have an excellent time. It was a close game from the opening drive to the final putt. Not many shots were wasted...overall, a very good game.
