OK, in Ulti, the OCUA has clarified the "rules" governing lightning safety and how things should proceed. Do we have a standing rule (other than PDGA rules) about when a tourny round or league night round is occurring during a thuderstorm?

I guess I ask because of today's odd weather and tonight's forecast. If we are half-way through a round at CF and the lightning starts, what do we do? Do we hang around and see if it moves on or are we done and the night doesn't count?

To be clear, I am not asking for a decision for tonight specifically, I am just asking for an overall guideline of how to proceed in this situation.

Thanks!

The ODGC does not endorse any activity played outdoors when lightening is a threat.
The ODGC subscribes to OCUA's rule for play during inclimate weather:
Play does not stop for rain.
Play stops if lightening is a risk, and resumes when that risk has passed.

Here is one of the safest and best rules regarding lightening. When you see a lightening bolt count the time between the bolt hits and the time you actually hear the rumble. If the amount of time is greater than 30 you can continue play. When the time decrease below 30 seconds head for shelter. The second 30 in the rule is the amount of time you must wait after having seen the last lightening bolt, 30 minutes.
