Week 11 sees the Tuesday Ottawa Singles Series return to Jacques Cartier Park for a round from the yellow teepads. We'll be closing registration at roughly 6:00pm and we'll be golfing by 6:15pm.

This will be the second week of the fourth quarterback challenge of the season. The prize pool available to be won in the quarterback challenge sits at $12, with an estimated final round payout of $36. If all players currently on the list were to complete the challenge, up to three pools would be formed to distribute the funds.

Cards will be seeded in quartile order according to player handicaps for this week's event.

New players are always welcome on Tuesday nights. You don't need a player handicap to participate in the event. There is no better place to play your inaugural Tuesday night round then at Jacques Cartier Park. We hope to see you out!

Player handicaps will be posted shortly.

BBP, you'll need to shoot a 44 to move to a 5. Anything under 50 will serve to lower your differential average and make it easier to lower in later weeks. Your differential history is one of the most comprehensive, so moving a stroke in a single round is going to be a real challenge, especially for someone with a player handicap as low as yours.

Keep fighting for it, though! Your determination to lower your scores is an excellent example of how being focused on finishing in front of your own standard of play leads to a noticeable improvement in your game, which in your case has taken you several strokes closer to scratch.

A friend of mine will be coming to the July 18 installment of Tuesday league to take pictures of disc golfers at play. He may also ask a few of you to work with him before the round to take some staged shots.

All of the shots he takes will eventually be available in a database of pictures for people looking to promote activities in the NCR.

His name is Luther, please help him out.

Cheers,
Jeff

Jacques Cartier Park Yellows
Conditions: A few clouds
Temperature: 25C
Winds: 15-20km/hr

12 golfers participated this evening in excellent conditions at JCP. The gross round results were as follows:

Rank Last First Score
1 Wormald Rob 43 eek
2 Dobrev Stefan 51
3 Penton Geoff 53
3 Lane Don 53
5 Rancourt Marc 54
6 Reitlingshoefer Claus 55
7 Vinet Eric 57
8 Bourgeois Paul 61
9 Svetkoff Ben 62
10 Myre Stephane 65
11 Schnobb Gavin 67
12 Leslie Robyne 69

Net scores were as follows:
Rank Last First Handicap Gross Net
1 Wormald Rob 9 43 34 puking
2 Lane Don 10 53 43
3 Rancourt Marc 8 54 46
3 Leslie Robyne 23 69 46
5 Penton Geoff 6 53 47
5 Reitlingshoefer Claus 8 55 47
5 Myre Stephane 18 65 47
8 Dobrev Stefan 3 51 48
8 Svetkoff Ben 14 62 48
10 Vinet Eric 8 57 49
10 Bourgeois Paul 12 61 49
12 Schnobb Gavin 15 67 52

Huge congratulations to Rob Wormald, who not only set what, to my knowledge, currently stands as a new course record, but who also turned-in the first "scratch" round from the JCP yellows! Rob earned $24 for his efforts.
Well done, Don Lane. Don's 2nd place finish earned him $12 tonight.

Quarterback ranks have been reduced to just six players:
Rank Last First 1st Rnd 2nd Rnd 3rd Rnd Total
1 Dobrev Stefan 56 51 107
2 Penton Geoff 56 53 109
3 Vinet Eric 58 57 115
4 Bourgeois Paul 68 61 129
4 Svetkoff Ben 67 62 129
6 Myre Stephane 71 65 136
The quarterback pot sits at $24 for next week, and all of it will be going to the top quarterback finisher.

And Twirls missed a 7 footer on old #9. But he made some sweet putts on all the rest of the holes.

Playing with Craig made my month. That was absolutely awesome.

Robert.

43 is an uncommon number, so in my caught-off-guard state, the math suggests minus-11, which is a great score...

from the Reds. Now, from the Yellows, this is mythical stuff. Congratulations, playing at that level, you are now pretty much ready for anything. I see a few more points in the future of the Ottawa Pharm team.

Astounding.

OMG! thumbsup

At first, I couldn't tell if 43 was the actual score or the handicapped score!?!

Nice Job!
