Date: May 30, 2006
Location: Camp Fortune
Course: Short Teepads (Holes 1-14)
Conditions: Sunny and Humid
Temperature: 28C
Wind Speed: <5 km/hr

19 players made an appearance at Camp Fortune tonight to play the short tees. A slightly late start and the risk of fading daylight made it a shortened round, with players focusing on the first 14 holes before the bugs came out and blotted-out the sun.

This is the first week of the 2nd Quarter-Back Challenge of the season, and the results of the evening were as follows:

Gross Score:
Rank Last First Total
1 Meldrum Jeff 40
2 Visser Carl 43
3 Dobrev Stefan 44
3 Penton Geoff 44
3 Wormald Rob 44
6 Pengelly Arthur 45

13 Rowland Geoff 50
16 McCormick Mike 52
16 Svetkoff Ben 52
18 Myre Stephane 54
19 Leslie Robyne 58

The net scores were as follows:

15 net scores saw our first three-deep payout of the season. Congratulations to Rob Wormald, whose low net of 34 saw him take home top honours of the evening, and a solid $22 payout. Applause to Jeff Meldrum and Carl Visser, who tied for 2nd place with net scores of 36 which was enough to earn them $11.50 each (Rob, Jeff, and Carl, IOU $1 each).

Players submitting rounds this week will have their differentials adjusted to account for the abbreviated round. A special course rating will be used to account for those holes not played.

Just an aside: we were about 15 minutes short of everyone getting in a full round of 18 holes. We also started about 15 minutes late. We play Camp Fortune again in two weeks, when that 15 minutes of added daylight will be available to us, and we'll start at 6:30 again.

Hoping to see you on Thursday for Doubles at Jacques Cartier Park.

Cheers!
-Paul

I have the following OD tags with me:

#91 (now BBPs)
#103 (now Splash's)
#111 (now OMRs)

I won't make it for the Thursday doubles, but I will be here for PoHoKa.
