The Dan Caza prototype basket is now on sale for $300.

This is a super sturdy course quality basket, a copy of the JCP baskets.
It has a really excellent hoop-style stand on it.

The only issue is that at present, the chain assembly is mounted about 2 to 3 inches too low above the basket, something that could be changed quite easily.

Execs: would the ODGC want this as a fundraising Ace shot giveaway ? ?

Can you tell me more about this basket. Is it made locally? Did you improve the chain height? Can it be a permanent install? If not permanent, is it pretty durable (I suppose for $300 it must be).
I'm interested in permanent baskets so please do let me know if you have a reliable Canadian contact.

Is this the same design as those crappy baskets at Fortune?

Seriously - those should be reworked...

Yes, it's a Dan Caza basket from last year. I think he messed up with the dimensions, so this one is slightly stubby. I understand that the new Fortune baskets are not to spec, which is a serious strike against Dan. I had spoken to him about needed to adjust the vertical dimensions, but alas it didn't seem to register.

As for the new CF baskets, I'll see if I can have him adjust them, seeing as the club paid a lot of money for them.

Which begs the question: Does the club not have a reliable source for baskets?...one would think that we'd have an established manufacturer by now.

You'd think, eh. There's been some difficulty with Canadian manufacturers because the demand isn't there, so they can't stay in business long, nor are they able to experiment and offer different types. Sucks. It just cost so much $$ to import from the US.

The Domain Bourget Inn is going to need 5 baskets. Is Dan the man, or are there any other sources that are good quality and correct dimensions?

I heard that Daredevil is trying to get in the basket market. Can anyone confirm that they are still interested?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Daredevil's basket is in the design stage, and no basket has yet been produced. They are concentrating on their golf discs for now, and will get into the basket business somewhat later.

Twirly can get them 5 inexpensive baskets. Have him send out a quote.
