Hi,

Having just returned from an extended trip in which Doug Tah and I played 32 different courses throught the southwest and environs I have to tip my hat to everyone responsible for our disc golf course.

Throughout our playing we saw many types of courses. "wide open & long", "narrow tree lined", "rolling/steep terrain", "city park turned into DGC". Pretty much everything.

Our course isn't the hardest, longest, or most technical. It does however have many different types of holes and forces players to throw all kinds of shots. A nice mix.

Arriving back today and playing a round fresh out of the van with the fall colours was just beautiful.

Also, beating Terrelli and winning the 2.5 month competition for (one crisp American dollar bill and) BRAGGING RIGHTS doesn't suck either.

Good job everyone.
Mike

Mike is right, we have a beautiful course that is quite challenging and above all fun. It is because of the strong work of a small group of dedicated Disc Golfers. As the sport of DG gets bigger in Ottawa so does the need for more to get involved. Disc Golf in Ottawa is growing and so is the need for more people to get involved with the ODGC.
Many of you have some great ideas, connections, skills and resources that could be used to help DG in Ottawa. Come out to the General Meeting on November 3, 2002 at The Stout Bros. Public House on Bank St and Riverside Dr and find out how you can help or just come out for some good eats and drinks and talk DG.
The more people involved equals more activities and more good exposure.

Mike I'm extremely jealous - 32 different courses. That's exactly how I want to spend my vacations. That's awesome.

Two men, one van, 32 courses, thousands of miles of road. I detect massive consumption of heavy fuel.

In multiple-choice parlance, you guys must be a) smiling
b) independently weathy
c) desperately sick of one another
d) much improved golfers, or
e) all of the above.

I thought I was doing well to have played on about a dozen courses, lifetime. Thanks for the positive feedback on our course, hats off to you both and welcome home!
