What are the local pro's averaging at JC and what should one be averaging before they consider entering tournaments?

Slutpup,

You should enter tournaments.

Anybody who wants to play in tournaments, should. It's not how you score but how you play...

If you want to get out and play with some more local players, check out league night on Thursdays at 6:15 pm.

Most of the people playing on Thurdsays play and place in local tournaments so it would be a good way to measure yourself against other golfers.

Of course, height is also a a good method.

All tournaments have space for all levels of ability. During the Plaid Jacket held in September we have Novice and Advanced divisions.

During the National Capital Classic and Canadian Championships there are Pro, Advanced, Intermediate and Novice divisions.

If you are golfing a -2 on a regular basis with a best of -5 then you would belong in either the Intermediate or probably the advanced divisions.
