The schedule formating is whack!

(I hated using those forum charts. One thing out and the whole thing goes wonky. I imagine it's what programmers do for a living)

Figured out the whackiness! It's the July 2 "MONDAY" and then the two courses.

I'm so smart.

Is that better? Looked fine to me before and after changing MONDAY to MON.

Better. Not done yet, though.

It's the 36 for Almonte/Kanata. It jumps down a line.

If I had 'super powers' I'd fix it myself.

(Super excited for DG season!)

Did you ever consider doing 45 holes on the 2nd?

Usually varies between 5-6 depending on the location and how long a round takes/finishing before it gets dark

My 2 cents.

I like the effort for something on July 2. Not sure if taking people out of TOSS participation and/or their long weekends is the best idea though.

TOSS is Tuesdays and people build that into their schedules IMHO. Can't please everybody but if TOSS was run on the Tuesday people would have nothing to take issue with.

Thanks for running it all Mark!

Cool, Steph (She-Hulk) and I will try to get out as much as possible but we both finish at 5 most days

19 TOSS events, 20 courses listed.

Curious as well as the reasoning behind a 36 hole Monday event. MOSS league?

The chart works for me in Internet Explorer but is a little funky in Chrome, unless I change my page size to squinty eye size (Ctrl-mouse wheel)

Right you are, the #36 seems to be on its own line in chrome. Weird.

36 Hole Monday event because it falls on the statutory holiday. I know this may rub some the wrong way, but, with the stat falling so close to the Tuesday where I would have put the Kanata27, I thought it would be fun to do a 2-course, one-day event.

Almonte Short/Mid/Long Kanata Short/Long? Yes, I did consider that, but came to two conclusions there:

1. I'm not fond of the pitch-n-putt shorts at Almonte. No flack to the course or course designers, but shorts (IMHO) are mostly beginner level, and I like to think that TOSS is more competitive than that.

2. 18 holes at each of two courses with a 30 to 40 minute drive is already asking a lot of players on a Statutory holiday. I'm basically thinking that we'd do a 3:00 start at Almonte, and a 6:15-6:30 at Kanata, finishing around 8:45 or so...

I typically eat dinner in that window on any given day. Has that been factored into the timeline?

Please don't view my realism as pessimism. I like the sound of this but don't see the logic in putting it in a QB1 slot instead of an experimental TOSS 19 to see how it runs.

We will follow the PDGA "Official Rules of Disc Golf" except:

replace 802.06 B with:
Quote:
B.Alternatively, the player may mark the lie by flipping the thrown disc 180 degrees forward along the line connecting the front edge of the disc to the target in play; or, by placing a mini marker disc on the playing surface, touching the front of the thrown disc on the line of play. A mini marker disc is a small disc, not used in play, that complies with PDGA Technical Standards for mini marker discs.

Replace 802.06 C with:
Quote:
C.When the thrown disc is not on the in-bounds playing surface, or when the lie is to be moved by rule, the player marks the lie by placing a mini marker disc in accordance with the applicable rule, or by placing a full size disc as though it were a mini marker disc in accordance with the applicable rule.

Replace 813.01 F with:
Quote:
F.All discs used in play, except mini marker discs, should be uniquely marked. A player receives criticism for the throw of an unmarked disc. A player receives ridicule for the loss of an unmarked disc.

We will also follow the Competition Manual Section 3 except:

Replace 3.01 C with:
Quote:
The use of speakers to broadcast music/sound is forbidden unless explicitly agreed to by all members of your card. The use of headphones, restricting the audibility of music/sound to yourself, is allowed. A request by any competitor or official to stop broadcast of music/sound must result in the termination of broadcast. Failure to do so is a courtesy violation.

Replace 3.01 D with:
Quote:
Animals are allowed only when explicitly agreed upon by all members of your card, AND where not restricted by policy/law/bylaw/regulations governing the use of the land upon which the event is occurring.

Delete 3.03 B (Cool and 3.03 B (10)

Delete 3.03 D

Delete 3.04

Delete 3.06 to 3.08.
