Funny enough the walk-about for the 20th Plaid took place in 10 degree weather. Nothing like the summer feel we are getting now, so YEAH us!

Some minor changes to the course this year caused by changes to the bolf course and one alteration because the Tyrant said so.

Holes 1 and 2 will remain the same. Hole 1 looks even more beautiful and 2's green seems to be even more of clear cut with just several stumps left to remember the ashes that stood there.

The Canadian had several bags of fertilizer left last year and they dumped it on around the fairway of 3. All the trees have blown up and have reeeaally tightened up the gap. BUT, there's also a tree missing and key branch have been removed.

So we've moved the basket to within the grasps of the gnarly tree.

(You'll have to use your imagination. Maybe one year we'll bring a basket to demonstrate, but really, we hope there are no changes to be made from year to year)

It brings our drives away from the wooded edge, though I'm sure we'll find ways to get in there, and frames a beautiful target.

Holes 4-13 don't change.

But they are looking so beautiful.

..oh wait. I lied. 5 changed a bit. Remember the high reeds that surrounded the pond? Well, they aren't so high anymore, and have been thinned out. I don't know what the consequences will be of this, but I imagine fear will be ramped up for those on the tee.

I guess this plays into the ReMax Super 6 hole 1, too. Now the throwers will be able to see the basket from the tee.

(The bolf fairways were wet, wet, and wet along this section, but I imagine that isn't the case anymore)

Hole 14 has finally been finished, after 3 years of work, and we are pleased with the results.

We will be driving from the bolf tees and heading towards the pond.

The view

We're going between the spruce and it's deciduous neighbour. 44 yards from the spruce to be exact. And about 4 yards from the water's edge.

About where Svets is standing...

You can see how cold it was that day. I've got my hood up, jacket and fleece pants on. Svets has a COAT on!

OB on 14 will just be the water and not the long grass. Just watch out for rattlers.

Hole 15 oh, California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain, Honolulu starbright, the hole remains the same.

I'll post a pic, because the Tyrant took one...

Hole 16, ReMax SUPER6 Hole 6, is unchanged from last year's celebration.

Look at this approach

The new 17 is probably the greatest enhancement to flow in Plaid history, and yes, it was ordered by the Tyrant.

Here's the tee.

No pic of the green (blame the Tyrant).

It's right on the road out of 16! No more of that wonky backtrack and stupid cart parking! No more creek inducing wet feet!

It's not the most exciting hole, but I think birdie twos will be few. And some threes will be hard fought. I don't see a lot of bogies, but you've all proven me wrong many times before.

There was a debate as to whether we should make the cart path OB to make it scarier, but we decided against individualized OB rules. (Tough enough to get everyone on track with the drop zone) So if you end up on the cart path, you can let out a sigh of relief and can it for a no-circle whatever.

18 is the same as last year.

And that brings us back to the clubhouse.

ReMax SUPER6 holes remain the same as last year's cart-clean-up round of 6.

All Ponds (water) and all bolf greens are OB.

For those playing the Plaid division, play the PDGA rules with regard to entering OB zones.

For all other divisions, there is one drop zone on the course, hole 11, that is an option for players, otherwise play the PDGA rules with regard to entering OB zones.

Sandtraps must be raked.
