Don L 65 58 123
Andrew K 65 59 124
Mario H 64 62 126
Chris B 64 63 127

There's like, at least 6 too many Chris B's in this club

I've been dealing with this name issue for a while. There are 6 Chris's in my immediate group of friends.

I'm generally called by a variation of my last name. Beaudoin, CBeau, Beau, or CBeau Money Smooth. Take your pick wink

What's the protocol with Thunderstorms and severe showers? I.e., If there is a thunderstorm should I check back here before driving out there.

Thunder/Lightning is a serious risk as we are playing on metal baskets.

30/30 rule is in effect;

Quote:
Lightning can strike several kilometres from its source so early precautions are crucial. If thunderstorms are in the forecast, re-assess your plans for outdoor activities. If you can hear thunder then you are close to the storm. You are considered to be in the high danger zone if you are less than 10 kilometres away. Use the 30/30 Rule to help you. If you can count 30 seconds or less between seeing lightning and hearing thunder you should seek shelter immediately. Do not resume any outdoor activities until you have waited at least 30 minutes after hearing the last clap of thunder. It is crucial to ensure that the risk of a lightning strike has passed completely.

Thanks Phillips! That was fun.

Man we have been lucky as of late with the Tuesday weather. Let's hope it continues.

as an enticement for others to attend TOSS evenings:

Yes, the course, the weather, the cards and the disc golf were all great.

And, thatís not all! There was also a bonafide bar b-q bonus.
Dan had a nice bonfire post-round, with a kind of
MacBeth-witches tripod that he could place over it featuring a circular
grill suspended from the top, height adjustable with a cable. We enjoyed
some good sausages. And then, Steve Pike comes out of the woods with
a perfect fresh puffball in the prime of its firm, edible phase, the size of
a kidís soccer ball. He cleaned up the outside surface, and sliced it like
brie wheels and put it on the grill. Talk about bar b-q bonus!! Deee-Lish!!

I was wondering how that puffball would turn out.

What was the taste like?

Puffball tasting review:

The cooking releases a bit of the moisture, to make its texture slightly spongy, and very tender. The smell and taste were a very mild, very delicate flavour, like how portobello mushrooms taste, only much more subtle.

We ate it 100% plain. Could imagine it dressed up with balsamic, or salted, or with herbs and a light-bodied red wine.

If Steve ever invites me to another puffball grilling, I'll say yes to it.
