My other post seems to be corrupt. If one of the admins could delete it please. Appears the site doesn't handle the accent on the e. Confused

This is from the Almonte DGC Facebook page:

I think its time to have an official course opening, so let's go for Saturday August 13th at 10:00 AM. There is no sense having an opening without having a tournament so I'm suggesting the first Annual "Full alMonte". That's the 9 red tees, then the 9 blue tees followed by the 9 yellow tees. Entry fee is two cans of food for the local "Food Bank". I'll try to find some cheesy trophy for the lowest score. I'd like to get at least 12 people competing but if there are less then my chances of winning get better. I'll limit the number of competitors at 24 so everything moves along. Message me to get on the list, but I'm reserving a few spots for the people that showed up to install the course. That's about the limit of my organizing skills.

So the grand opening is not going to be happening this day as some of the dignitaries are not available. But the Full alMonte is on. We'll have prizes for the low score of each round and best overall.

Rumours of a Kiwi and his seamstress playing are ramping up. Svets and I will be there.

4th time, for me, trying to beat Old Man's record.

-7 is like a disc that floats; you can see it there. Floating. But you just can't reach it.

Kelly didn't want to go to the cottage cause of rain, so I'm in for the full almonte hopefully not in the rain.

Remember, the entry food is food items for the food bank or a cash donation(I'm going to suggest $10). Bring your brellies!

It was reported to me that Joe Playfair went 9-down in the rainy tournament to establish the initial full Almonte record.

Be it known that this morning, OMR in the full three round tour of Almonte, albeit in very fine weather, has established a new record of -11 for the Full Almonte.

Jeff's drives were very consistent, his short game was on when needed and his putting was pretty much zero-miss. Congratulations Jeff !! A great pleasure to witness.

thx Ken! Good times.

Just to set the record straight, I had the original record of -7, then Joe came along at -9. Nice to take it back!
