Well, we're a month off from our tournament, and our online registration will start tonight on the www.adgm.ca site, so here's the details on the 4th edition of our QDGT tournament that we host at our home course out at Camp Fortune.

------

The 4th edition of the Outaouais Open, which is to be held on Saturday, July 23rd, is an annual tournament that is a part of the Quebec Disc Golf Tour (QDGT), and is held at the challenging championship course at Camp Fortune in Chelsea, Quebec. The winner of the Open division is awarded «The Dome Cup».

QDGT: http://quebecdiscgolftour.com/

The tournament features a combination of at least 18 CTPs or Longest Putt prizes (3 for every division and 2 additional CTPs and a Longest Putt for All Divisions).

The winners in all divisions that feature at least 4 participants will each receive a tournament logo Bluetooth speaker. We offer lots of side contests, additional bonus prizes and a ton of fun!

The event features regular QDGT payouts and added cash for the two pro divisions (Open/MPO & Masters/MPM).

This year our event is sanctioned as a PDGA "C" Tier in both the Open/MPM and and Masters/MPM divisions. We will have added cash to the pro purse for these two divisions. The other divisions will be run as regular QDGT divisions and payouts. Winners of all divisions also receive QDGT Victory Patches, and we have Ace Patches for anyone who hits an ace at our tournament.

All women entering the tournament (in any division) will get a player pack which includes a great new disc of their choice from a wide assortment donated by the TDs, along with a swag bag of useful things.

Side events featured will be several «Ring of Fire» rounds (for people who have not otherwise won a prize at the tournament), a Fastest Drive contest, and a special Mystery Box will be available for a random draw, with tickets selling for $2 each or 3 for $5. All $ proceeds will be added to the payout for the pro divisions.

An evening round of Random Draw Doubles will be offered on Friday evening starting at 6:00 pm for those wanting to get a taste of the course layout. The entry fee for this Friday evening round is $8 with half of that going to the winning team, and the other half to the payout purse for the pro divisions.

Please note that the top finishers (who have never before had a PDGA membership) in the Women's Division and the Advanced Division will win 2016 PDGA memberships courtesy of another of our great sponsors, PDGA Canada.

1st Round:
Open, Masters, and Advanced: Long
Amateur, Women, Juniors: Short

2nd Round:
Open and Masters: Long
Advanced, Amateur, Women, and Juniors: Short

Last year we had a few XL holes, but for consistency between this event and previous PDGA rounds at Camp Fortune, and to allow more people in the two pro divisions to earn rated rounds, we'll use the regular teepads throughout the event.

And if you have any questions but don't want to post on the forum, please give me a call. As this is only one month away I would like to see the list grow so we can attract some out of towners.

SIX ONE THREE EIGHT FIVE ZERO SIX FIVE TWO NINE.

Pizza Lunch, Side games, Quick awards after round (so people can get on the road). Camp Fortune in July.

26 spots have been taken. I know a few people are on the fence.

Pre-Reg (even if you don't pay in advance) helps with planning and motivating the CF team to continue to tame the mountain.

If you would like to help tame the mountain with us before the event, please let Rico (or I) know as there are many jobs other than grass cutting that add that further touch to make the hill that much more spectacular. If you play it over the next few days you will see what I am talking about. Place is in amazing shape.

Will do. Which division would you like, Alex?

You can pay at the registration desk on the day of the tournament.

Alternatively, you can pay at www.adgm.ca

Either way works for us.

We're over 40 players now... the push to 50 is on. We accept walk-ins so don't worry about it. It's nice to know ahead of time though for planning purposes and scorecard preparation.

Weather in Chelsea is going to be great on Saturday but bring extra water and some some sunscreen.

It'll be 26 C with sun and clouds. Let it rain somewhere else - it'll be an awesome day on our tamed mountain.

Edit, just read what Eric said above, ditto, especially seeing so many out-of-towners in Ottawa for a tournament, shades of our early years.
