Except that example isn't the same. The issue is whether the disc is above the bottom of the chain support. Is the S clip part of the chain support or part of the chain? That's where this gets hard. Could be argued either way.

The S clip holds the chains to the top of the basket and are thus supporting the chains. This makes them a component of the chain support, not the chains themselves.

That disc is above the bottom of the chain support....not holed out


As long as it didn't enter from above(ie. through the chain support). It can be supported by anything underneath the chain support.
