Ottawa's Ice League
continues this weekend Saturday Dec. 5th, 2015
at Alcove a private course located north of Wakefield, QC.
We will be playing one round on the 18 hole tonal course.
THINGS TO KNOW:
Gavin is your TD for this event, here's hoping he will post the start time.
Weirdsma will have sign in sheets and score cards.
COURSE MAP:
See last year's thread:
http://www.odgc.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11179
DIRECTIONS TO ALCOVE:
Address for Google maps/GPS usage; 44 chemin Echo Dale, la Pêche, QC
Get on Highway 5 as if you were heading to Camp Fortune but don’t exit at Old Chelsea,
instead continue until the end of HWY 5 where there is a T intersection with a set of lights turn left on to HWY 105N.
Stay on this highway (the 105 north) until it ends where you will merge taking a right onto Chemin Maclaren the 105 bypass that takes you around Wakefield. At the first set of lights you will take a left back onto the HWY 105.
You're back on the 105 heading north and the highway eventually splits into a four-lane and up ahead, looming on the left, you will see a massive sandpit. Turn left onto the dirt road (Chemin Echo Dale) when you get to the pit. Stacie's driveway is the first driveway on the right, which is half a click from the highway.
It is a long driveway, and you can't see the house until the end of the driveway
(if you have 4 wheel drive you might like to use it now). Park when you get to the house.
Hope you guys have fun on Saturday! I will not be there(I will be scouting a new location for the week after).

Hey guys sorry.
The date kinda crept up on me .
I'll be there for the 11:30 start. Hope everyone can come out.
The late start time ensures our host Stacie can make it out after a long night slinging drinks.
Alcove is in fine shape right now.
See you tomorrow!

Great day for Disc Golf.
8C and sunny! Beautiful weather! Wow, for December 5th you couldn't hope for better.
12 players came out for the action.
Stacie and Mike McCormick won with a 47!
I'm not sure if I did what I'm suppose to but this is what I did. I took all money from fees and mullies, I added it together, gave half to the food bank and the other half to the winners. $80 for the food bank and $35 each for Mike and Stacie. Mullies weren't recorded on the sign in sheet, honour system was used to keep track of mullies.
I passed the score cards on with Mike McCormick.
Other scores
Ken Darco and Chris B :50
Clause R and Aaron J: 50
Gavin S and Mario: 52
Brenda and Weirdsma: ? not sure sorry, I just know they didn't win
Mike Adams and Spike: ? not sure sorry, I just know they didn't win

Looking at the payout information helpfully located in information, it looks like I overpaid the winners by $10 each. I can pay Ben back when I see him. |

You did fine Gavin. A 50/50 split works.
On the information page i have a 1/3 split in case the LD (league director) or anyone else running the show incurs any costs like scorecards and such.
Looked like a gorgeous day for a round at the cove. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

I echo what Gavin said, a finer Dec 5 you couldn't ask for.
Huge thumbs up to Stacie and Mike McCormick.
Was not on their card, but saw them finish on 18. Two good pumps put them 40 feet out. From all reports their round was stellar, and they continued in that vein with two super close putt runs. Mike says what the heck, we have a ton of mullies left, putts once again and smoothly pings the tonal to score 3 on 18, to finish with a 47 ! !
Really nice to see Mike and Stacie team up for an outstanding result. Props. |

A great day,
I don't know if there is an ice league schedule, but we should seize this amazing weather and do another pre-xmas round. De 12 or 19? |
