Since I didn't qualify for the Provincials, someone in need of $10 can have my "winning" at the Superspin to offset their expenses for the weekend.

Thanks John. I will know next week if I can get away for a weekend. September is always busy in our house.

You're good to September 7th at midnight. Just might not get a players pack item or 2 upon arrival but you'd get them.

Best way to plan this is like a tournament out of town in all honestly.

Friday night social with a keg and corn roast and fireball run and the vendors all on site.

Saturday night. Big Milano order. Side games. Music. Stuff.

Sunday. Beers after. Awards. Savour the memories.

I'd also like to say some thanks to all the Ottawa people who registered. I think almost 100% of those qualified are registered or in the process of completing their registration. We needed more passes.

That support is going along way for the event and thanks so much for that. It takes support for courses, TD's, lawn mowers, and event promoters to keep trying to bring high quality events to the region. You players have stepped up and I'm thankful and it's been noted. Running a PDGA event is a whole other beast.

Thanks for that.

For my part I'm putting as much value into the event for you that I can. Great payouts in Open are projected and AM's are even getting payout over and above the wicked players pack.

Registrations are rolling in. Check DGO for updates and for the registered list please check on the PDGA website.

Thanks again,

John

Thanks to Surge and Dros the course now has 27 baskets!!!

Tonight and tomorrow we'll be doing a drone shoot of the course with other camera gear. If you'd like to come out and get on film throwing some discs then please come on out.

Also if anybody wants to come out and help out anytime we'd gladly take the help. Tidy up some holes. Help clean the coverall up sort of stuff.

Course is basically open to play anytime now for anybody wanting to get some rounds in.

Cheers,

John

Registrations just hit 50 thanks to Iron Mike McCormick.

Thanks for the support regisistered participants.

The Ottawa player registration numbers versus the passes given out is not going unnoticed.

Glad you are seeing the value in a larger PDGA event in the region.

Thanks again,

John

AJ and I really had a blast out there last night. Love the new holes and layout. It is nice to finish in the open field so you can play into the dusk on a weeknight.

If anyone has not played the 27 hole layout with baskets, I highly recommend making the time. We played 27 holes from the blues and started at 5:45pm. Lights on discs make it much easier to see in the woods and into dusk.

Thanks Kyle.

The course is going to be the best it's ever been over these next couple weeks so it is a good time to support it.

John,

Speaking of which, a number of us really do want your course to be at its best come Provincials, and we're thinking we'd like to organize a work party on Labour Day, to contribute some labour to help put some finishing touches on Ettyville.

A few specific ideas have come up, such as close mowing of tee pad areas, and stick and debris tidying in the new wooded areas. What else is on your list?

Anyhow, informally, there are already 3 or 4 of us available for Monday. This post is going up as a general call for whoever else might be able to help. John, if you're going to be around to mastermind, what time would be good for us to show up? I'm thinking a morning start would be best, give us a chance to play the course after working on it Very Happy .

Good chance that we'll spring for pizza and beer for the work crew at job's end.

Best,

Ken

Sounds good Ken.

Anytime on Monday morning is fine.

Other then a few holes to tidy up the help would be best organizing the coverall and setting up the stage.

I'll post up more during the weekend.

Video of the course just went up too.

Thanks John.

Let's aim to be there by 09h30 on Monday, and get started straightaway.

Work gloves recommended.

I will have a cooler full of beverages for the post volunteering wind down.

John,

Thanks so much for putting together such an impressive large tournament.
Everything from the course (and the improvements made this season), amenities, food, prizes, swag and general good vibe were exemplary in every respect.

Feedback I got from the out-of-towners was overwhelmingly positive, bad weather notwithstanding. Very sorry to have played so poorly and not represent a bit better.

Ken

Thanks Ken.

Just getting back to a bit of normal again.

Course is open to play for anybody who wants to play the 27 holes with baskets. Course should be drying up decently over the next couple of days.
