Just an FYI, the Costco baskets you can get for less than 60.00 can be made into proper baskets.

If you go to homehardware / lowes / home depot etc.. you pickup a set of welded chains 24" length (match gauge to existing) then get 8 cuts. You buy 16 links of un-welded chain and then attach to the existing frame of basket.

For under 85.00CAD you have a proper basket with the correct chain setup .. plus the added benefit of the Costco basket stopping your shots is always a bonus.

I recently did the upgrade, super easy and the total cost was under 28.00 in material. Easy way to get a really solid basket for a really good price in all metal.

If anyone wants to see what the basket looks like with the modification let me know and I will post a link after taking some pics.

I'd be interested in seeing pics. Has Costco ever restocked the baskets?

It does look better. There are a few of those baskets floating around the maritimes; the fellas might appreciate this mod.

Not for me. smile

Dros was such a champ out there. Showed the greatest composure and sportsmanship (as did both teams).

I'm guilty of those all the time. They're not fun even when it's a fun round.

Like I said if your worried it will spit...

I added so far 8 interior sets of chain to make up the missing inside ones.

That said if you want it to be 100% legit you only need to add the 6 or 8 (without looking I forget exact number) of chains missing from the outer rim.

Even if you add those as well your less than 60.00 for the inside and outside chains. Totalling roughly 120 invested after tax that includes your initial basket.

For the innova disc catcher portable which is basically this basket if you added the extra chains your looking at roughly 180+ before tax and shipping depending on where you order.
