Hole 8 was played differently than on the map. It was played down the parking lot, with the road in the middle of the fairway.

Fun winter course.

Hole 1 - Par 3 - OB Path. Wicked visual from the pad.
Hole 2 - Par 3 - OB road. Tough 2. Low ceiling.
Hole 3 - Par 3 - OB road. Nice annie/flick. Nice guard trees blocking the hyzer, plus the OB for the finish.
Hole 4 - Par 4 - OB road. This played as a fun short par 4 in the winter. Might try it again in the spring time for kicks and giggles.
Hole 5 - Par 4 - OB roads. This was fun to play. Saw two great 3s on it.
Hole 6 - Par 3 - OB roads. Doorway non-mando.
Hole 7 - Par 3 - What?!? No OB?!? Crazy talk. But we get picnic tables! That tree was perfect to keep you honest with your hyzers.
Hole 8 - Par 4 - OB road. Love this hole. So much fun. If you squint just enough you can see the slow moving river cutting the fairway in half.
Hole 9 - Par 3 - OB road. Easiest hole on the course? Probably. Dreamy for thumbers and flickers alike.

Love/hate the island OB for the finish on 5. Mullie burner.

Not quite, eh. I know the map was drawn up in front of the computer and the flags where put out with that flow in mind. 6 was different, too.

K, thought the meds I took for my back were playing tricks on me there.

I really enjoyed this layout. Throwing over or around OB on almost every hole. Favorites were #1 and #5. This is the disc golf I want to play everyday. I too may try this in spring before they open the lot. I bet it is well lit around the parking lot once the sun goes down.

Loved this one.

It just goes to show how many winter layouts can be done at VMP.

Very versatile park for IL.

Did anyone notice the date that the parking lot re-opens?

There was a piece of paper taped to that booth structure at the start of the parking lot with a closure date but not an opening date.

As well the closure date was wrong, they were early as I found out at the first IL VMP outing.

I would like to set up those baskets in this same layout for a glowie round in March. A Friday or Saturday night would be good as we could play later. With the parking lot lights and being so close to downtown you might not even need LEDs.

The lumber jacks have visited VMP. It may play quite different next winter. I am still game for a night round out there if anyone else is interested. Most likely play to lamp posts, unless more than 5 people (2 cards) show interest. Gates are still locked.

River Road course has also been clear cut. Hopefully this long winter will slow the buggers down.
