Just re-read that thread. The first time since I've played it. I've now played it 3x (2 LNF rounds, and a last minute clearance card round on Sunday). Got some additions to add to my course story.
Hole 1
- that tree air bunker is one the best I've seen, and it works great coming the other way too.
Hole 2
- love the new 2. Love it. Heard some comment that it's just a different CF2, and it is, but it's a whole different hole. Completely different way needed to play it. Saw some monster thumbers on it; none convinced me that was the way to do it. Saw some absolutely beautiful mid-ranges down the pipe that made the player stand tall and proud.
Hole 5
- we'll make a concerted effort to improve the green and bring 5 back to it's original idea.
Hole 9
- gets better and better every year and I can't wait for next year's improvements.
Hole 10
- wow. Wow. Wow. I played this for the first time LNF morning. What a shiver inspiring hole. The opening drive tunnel is wicked with a lot of options available to all levels of throwers. Then you come around the corner to an absolutely awe-inspiring and grandiose green. You don't fully appreciate this green from the pads of CF8. And on LNF morning and Sunday morning, the sun was rising behind the hill, making the perfect basket/sun eclipse.
Hole 11
- did I say it would cause fits? Yup. I was riiiiight! Great hole. I saw Gobbles play it almost perfectly. I know now how too. Thanks, Gobbler!
Hole 12
- Gobbles saves the day again! He, again, showed me the way on this hole. Now I just need to grow some and I'll make the putt.
Hole 13
- nice start to a really solid wooded downhill hole. Ben and I have already figured out what we need to do to make it perfect. One could thank Gobbles again. I've already kinda done it twice, so someone else should kinda do it this time.
Hole 14
- love this hole. Love it. Some one mentioned it was the hole between 13 and 15. It is, but it so much more. After playing it 3x, and watching all my cardmates play it, I realize that it is a required DG throw in your arsenal and I've seen some exciting things on that green.
Hole 15
- waterfall hole. Nothing else needed to be said.
Hole 16
- is a putting hole. I mentioned the green rocked in my first narrative and boy does it ever. This is a putting hole. Maybe a tad long, but it is an Ottawa region championship course, so maybe it'll point you in the right direction for your goals for the 2014 season.
Hole 17
- love it. Love it. Love it. It kicks 011 and 012 editions a$$e$.
Hole 18
- because it wasn't hard enough, CF puts some sort of highway down the middle of it. It'll be interesting to see how this affects CF7. Still don't know what they're building.
This is my favourite layout for LNFCF yet. It has everything and it flows so well. The back 9 took Ben and I 40 minutes to play and we played the whole course in under 2 hours.
And just for kicks, giggles and an inflated chest, I shot a 56, on a beautiful Sunday morning.
I'm starting the process to get clearance this Saturday. Would love to play this in a doubles format. |

I was that someone and having played the hole 4 times now I appreciate how hard it is. I have scored 2s 3s and 4s on it. I haven't put a drive within 20 feet of the pin yet
Best result was a hyzer putter. _________________ meh |

Ben came milimetres from acing it. Landed 40' down the hill. Canned the birdie putt. Really fun hole to spot. |

Another cool hole to spot is 7. Especially when someone is trying to make it to the green, like a witnessed Roxie do. Disc made that turn and then screeched over my head and headed to the baskets. Wicked. Wish I could've seen Deuce's. |

I finally manned up and threw a beat destroyer on 7 last time is was there. I had a 40-50 foot 2 try which I missed
Man that is a great hole. You could get a 2 with a perfect shot. You could also get an 8 _________________ meh |

Boys and girls ,
We rec'd an e-mail today from CF asking that we remove a few baskets from the hill on Saturday after IL .. They will start to make snow.
I'm sure this club has the 30 minutes it takes to go up the hill and remove 3-4-5 and just leave by the shed ...
I cannot attend ...
I have had inquiries about winter basket rental , if you're at IL and you want a basket , those 3 are avail ..
The rest of the baskets will be removed the following week as planned .
Remember , if you rent a basket for the winter , you're responsible for it and we'll need it back Saturday , April 19th 2014.
Thanks , Eric _________________ Just one more Wishbone ! |

I'm thinking of a foursome on 6 that will bring down baskets 4, 5 and their respective signage and then the first card to finish goes and gets basket 3 +signage. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |
