Please vote and share your thoughts on the start time for the 2013-2014 Ice League season.
Obviously for certain IL events (Alcove, Mountain, etc..) the start time may be pushed back because of travel time. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast

Are people allowed to vote twice on these polls?
If so that's wrong, and you should feel bad if you have.
Chalk this up as an experiment, in the end the Tyrant will decide when the league starts. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

You should only be able to vote once per handle. If someone has several handles, they could vote more than once. |

I wanted to adjust the poll for a 10:30 registration and a 11:00 o'clock start. |

That's option 2. Unless what you're saying is some kind of joke.
In that case, ha. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

Sorry wasn't meant to be a joke. I meant to say. 11 reg and 11:30 start.
I was kinda thinking the Tyrant might be playing a joke on us asking us what we thought. |

Sure.
Honestly I'm surprised the poll is trending more towards a later start.
I figured with all the parents out there they'd be more inclined to disc in the morning and be back for lunch. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

Given no SYN cards, I would opt for an early start... |

Hopefully the people answering the poll actually plan on attending IL. _________________ "You don't grind - you don't shine!"

That was my vote. Noon starts screw the whole day up IMO
That said, I play very little IL these days. _________________ meh |

I voted for a later start, because all my kids activities are in the morning on Saturday (swimming, dance, etc). The big rush in the house is breakfast, and getting ready to get out the door to the event. Later, gives me the opportunity to allow for a sleep in for my wife.
I have a better chance of making an event if it's later. No guarantees, though.
Why not try different times for different events? You're probably going to have different start times depending on where you play, anyways. |

I can't believe 26 people actually voted. That might be a record on this thing. |

I will only make the IL that are within 30 Min drive from the house. Late mornings work for me because there is always an activity Saturday morning. We always have lunch back at home so in previous years I have dropped the wife and kids off back at the house and kept driving. Being back at 4pm allows for another activity with a very happy daddy. IL makes me very, very happy. So, if possible please try to schedule as many IL in the city proper as you can. We have many spaces in the East End that can be exploited but most of them are the two yellow tape target method.
Greens Creek (Early, before sledders hit the hill)
Blair Road and Innes (best when there is lots of snow, a giant ash tree graveyard, very rugged but not much under brush)
RCP (Not in the area where we used to play but on the west side of the park, anytime play, open/wooded/hills/terrassed greens/mostly big arm holes/very technical open fairways/little dead walk, course pro tours available)
There are others but these layouts have maps and are excellent. |

While I like an early start, getting out for 9:30 is a little early. Maybe a choice of 10 or 10:30 would be an option.
The poll currently seems to indicate that 11AM start is prefered ( ie an average between 12 and 9:30). |

So far, (with 24 people registering a time preference), the weighted mean is 10:57

IL is not about the players.
It's about raising $ for the hungry and having a good time. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |
