In case you were hoping to watch this on DGPlanet, there is an early bird special. 3.95 for full coverage, only until tomorrow.

Discgolf Planet TV has alot of growing up to do. In no order of importance.

1. Lagging "live" video feed.
2. Feed jumps around at times and you are forced to re-watch already viewed content from minutes before.
3. Camera crew and techies can be heard talking during broadcast.
4. Commentators should not be wearing sunglasses - no very professional looking
5. Having to log out and back in to refresh feed.

That's just a few off the top of my head.

When it's working it's pretty decent though.

Not many things in life would be allowed this reprieve.

Yeah, but there are some enormous technical challenges these guys face.
If by lagging live feed you're talking about jitter, then this is based on uplink speeds, and they need to make their network way more robust. Add some money and tech support.

Jumping feeds is just bad editing. Several people handle this in well-done sporting events, but that's expensive because it's tonnes of salary, and not good for a start-up.

Camera crew chatter is another one that is often dealt with by adding people to solve the problem, and good editing. See edit comment above. People give the camera guy the support he needs so that he doesn't have to chatter, and editing makes sure you never hear it when it happens.

Commentators wearing sunglasses is totally a disc golf culture thing. And likely a lack of an actual set for the commentators, so there's little incentive to take the glasses off. When people stop acting like they're too cool for school because they're disc golfers and start making themselves look familiar instead of freaky, well, pinch me, I'm dreaming. Anyways, a set is a problem addressed by money and support crew.

Feed refreshing is totally a software problem addressed through a whole variety of methods. All involve coding, but that's what these guys are supposed to be: online content providers.

$3.50 gets how much? The whole tournament? Wow. That's DIRT CHEAP. No wonder it's a bit second rate.
