Ok so we've got some players from Ottawa that have qualified....

Who is in?

Registration closes next Friday and I will be away on vacation so I'd like to try and get some things organized like travel and accomodations.

Apparently, he and Rob Hale have talked about sharing a hotel room somewhere. I don't have any definite plans yet. Worst case, I can stay at my brothers in Mississauga, but if there is hotelling going on, I'm most likely in.

I'm also driving the Volvo down for the tournament, and will have room for two other bodies, most likely. Just have to firm up when I'm leaving... Most likely either Friday morning, or Friday after work.

K, good to know. I'd be willing to go in on a hotel with you guys.

Not sure if I will jump in with you or take my own vehicle but lets get the accommodations settled then we can discuss rides.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Burlington:

As of this morning, there is availability for two bedroom, two bath suites, at $211 per night.

The suite has
One King bed
Two double beds in a second bedroom
Pullout couch in separate lounge/living room
Full kitchen with stove/fridge/microwave

This hotel is about 24 minutes from the course (according to google maps).

My cursory search for hotels indicates that this might be a really good option. We could theoretically put five people in this room (with one on the floor) and no shared beds, at a total cost of approximately 475. Individual rates would obviously depend on what you're sleeping in/on (King, double, pullout, floor).

Nice find, too bad we're not playing Bronte as its a stones throw from there.

Still, 24 min to Christie is doable.

Besides little mom'n'pop motels, there isn't anything closer than Burlington, Brampton, or Hamilton...
