Welcome to the 2013 Discraft Ace Race at Kanata! This will be a fun filled tournament where the only thing that counts are Aces and Metal off the tee. Don't worry, if you've never hit an Ace before this is still a great event to attend and holes will be within range of most all players at ~90-180 feet!
For the first time Ace Racers, a little blurb from the manufacturer:
What is Ace Race? It's a fun event that helps disc golf grow by introducing thousands of new players to the joys of the sport! Each participant gets a huge player pack of cool stuff, then everyone plays two rounds of disc golf, but instead of keeping score the only goal is to throw aces (also known as a hole-in-one)! Holes are shortened, and everyone is throwing the same disc: a brand new Discraft prototype disc that is easy to throw and developed just for the event. It's a blast!
*Any donations of plastic or merch that can be made would be much appreciated. All proceeds received from side games go directly to the Ottawa Food Bank donation. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

Wow.
Titanium plastic discs - I find that plastic makes you feel like an adult.
Titanium mini - anyone know if these are the heavier type? I like the solid weight mini
2 reusable score card/bag tags - what a great idea! Very cool.
2 "pint" glasses - nice
A cozy - to go with my pint
And more stickers. One of them is Buzzz.
I'm in for a players pack. I'll need to confirm attendance closer to the date. _________________ Boyle says BOOM!

Isn't that OD screaming heads weekend?
Regardless I will probably buy a pack.
That is correct. There are no other available weekends that line up for myself or the club in September. We do have flexibility to change but I don't think it will affect attendance outside of 5-6 folks in Ottawa. If I have substantial feedback today on the board or at TOSS, I will consider the second weekend in October. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

I found I write too hard for the TIDE style scorecards. I have seen slightly sturdier ones before that were less impressionable. Lesson learned: Don't use sharp pencils. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

I'm assuming you'd want payment earlier rather than later?
Same price for PP only?
You can use Interac or PayPal (both use: kenmlittle@gmail.com) Same price as giving cash/cheque in-hand. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

Nevermind, I'm a bit slow on the draw here. Yes Player's Pack Only is the same price as Player's Pack + Playing. So why not just play?? I plan on making this event as fast as possible this year, which hopefully can help bring in folks who are working on Plaid setup. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

I'll play if I can but yes it will depend on what is going on with the Plaid on that day.
