Had a chance to throw Meldrum's Yeti driver last night. First time I have ever seen a distance driver with a bead on the rim. Feels very weird in hand

My first 2 throws with iy both turned and burned hard. It is very understable.

Threw 2 more shots after I found them in the shnard. Threw nice smooth hyzers both times. The disc flipped up easily with little effort, carried nicely in a straight line and then had a very long glide while it hyzered out.

I can't see much use for me personally as I like a little more beef in my drivers but it could be a long range technical disc for the right player.

Seemed it could be very wind sensitive but if you caught it just right it would go far

Direction may vary

Big rimmed discs. :shakehead:

If thrown at 85% this disc will make a nice S-Turn. A power thrower will flip this disc upside down.

I thought, hmmm, understable, flippy; maybe a roller? Not a great roller. It isn't balanced, so it just turns hard.

Not so hot in the wind either.

It's a good beginner disc, as I've found out with my students. They put their whole bodies into them and they fly really nice. And they are very consistent from disc to disc.

The plastic on the Yeti and Moose is my new favourite plastic. It's so nice in the hand.

The Moose, while we're chatting about Daredevil Discs, is wicked in the wind. Wicked I tell yeah! Fights it like a champ. Another consistent disc, from disc to disc.

The story behind the bead: They sent it in to the PDGA sans bead and it was deemed to dangereux. So they put a bead on it to make it less of a flying knife. I think the bead is what makes it so understable, but also let's it come back to the left so hard.

Its completely bizarre. Felt like a tack-on and perhaps a redesign was needed.

Personally I have zero use for it as i would never be able to trust it. Very sensitive

Then you should buy a few because you are going to see parts of courses you never knew existed

I don't think it's fair to call it "squirrelier".

I had the 3 Yetis that Meldrum has now for a couple of weeks and I threw them a lot. If you know how to throw them, or if your throwing style works for this disc, they are very predictable. They would consistently land within 15' of each other, and they would all take the same flight pattern.

I can't throw a Leopard, but Barry Schultz and Roxie sure can.
