This year, the ODGC has the The Outaouais Open, August 24, 2013, in the Quebec Disc Golf Tour.

What is the Quebec Disc Golf Tour?
Quote:

The QDGT is a volunteer run provincial Disc Golf series that offers to introduce new disc golfers to the sport and introduce new courses in Quebec to disc golfers through tournament play. The series furthers opportunities for networking between different disc golf communities, the goal being to increase the sports practice and visibility within the province. The tournaments offer both an enjoyable introductory atmosphere and a competitive outlet for evolving players. The series offers tournament support to newer communities in forms of expertise, promotion and clinics. Additionally we strive, as we evolve, to create a simple and effective format that will allow simple transitions between series coordinators through out the years.

Quote:
The QDGT is a non-profit series. Each entrant at all QDGT events will be charged a $10.00 production fee that will be taken from their entry fee. From that $10.00 fee, a $2.00 series fee will be collected by the T.D. from each participant and remitted to the QDGT. This 'series fee' will allow the series to cover costs such as the website , promotions, trophies, patches and player I.D. cards. Additionally these funds will allow for the eventual purchase of some modest tournament infrastructure equipment. ( event tent, banner etc. ) The remaining $8.00 is remitted to the tournament directors to help them cover club fees, green fees at our 'pay-to-play' courses and other tournament costs. The spirit and purpose of this fee is to allow for uniformity of the entrance fees within the series and is not for profit. All events charge the same entry fees. note: The QDGT PDGA C-Tier finals will have a different entry fee. ( about $10-$15 more per divison ) There are no male divisions and women are welcome to participate in any division. These are the divisions and entry fees offered in 2013

QDGT event number 1 happens this coming Saturday, near Mirabel, north of Montreal. There are already seven ODGC members signed up for the event.

If anyone else from O-Town is interested in playing "La Coulée des Sucres", get your registration fee in now, as there are only 8 spots remaining.

You can register at http://www.adgm.ca

Errol and I will be leaving from Aylmer at 6:45 Saturday morning, and will have room for two more if they are so inclined to join us.

Wonder if they'll have coffee or hot chocolate? That morning round might be chilly.
