Quote: | Take the highway 5 (Same as to go to CampFortune), but stay on that road all the way to the end, (for all who don't know- you'll hit a stop sign turn right, go 6 hundred feet to the Tulip Valley Rest./Motel, at those lights turn left (North on highway 105).
Once you're on the 105 north just keep going. The Turn off to Wakefield is in the middle of construction (you can't miss it) by the Subway/Giant Tiger strip mall.
Go down the hill, turn left at the stop sign, go all the way through the villiage, straight through the one intersection at the end of 'town" (always gouing north towards Maniwaki).
I live about 7-8 minutes north of Wakefield, the half way point is Ryan's Garage in Alcove, when you pass that on the high way you know you've got about 3 more min/s on the highway.
When the highway jumps up to mulitple lanes you will be able to see a huge sand pit looming ahead of you on the left hand side of the road. Turn up the dirt road taht runs along beside/behind the pit, the dirt road is called "Echo Dale".
My drive way is the first on on the right hand side, #44- It's a crazy steep drive and you can't see the house from the bottom, you will see the bear damaged garbage box and the mail/citizen boxes.

Was up at Alcove on Saturday. Generally there was snow in the forest and no snow on the slopes facing the river or wide open sun. The rest in between. No problems getting around really. |

I would just like to comment on the fact that it is no longer an intersection at the Giant Tiger, now it is a round about. If you take the first left- it will take you through the village, if you take the next left you will go up the hill around the village. |
