For the final Ice league of 2012 we will go back to our old home of Jacques Cartier Park.

http://maps.google.com/?ll=45.440373,-75.709158&spn=0.005992,0.013894&t=h&z=17

Park on the side streets near the apartment building. The parking lots within the park will be closed.

We will be playing the classic North side triple crown. 9 holes, three sets of tees. It should be a birdie fest out there. There will be a huge amount of snow out there so remember to ribbon your discs and it will probably be worth it to break out the snowshoes.

Registration to start at 10:30 am. Tee off at 11:00 am.

Ben-e picked me up yesterday in his Prelude with the course in the boot. Pretty crazy that with Andros' great idea and work on getting the ODGC 9 portable baskets, we are able to drop a course in the ground for all of us to play. And it fits in Ben's PRELUDE!

BTW, Ben will be trucking it to JCP tomorrow ~9am to install the course. He won't say it, but he'd take any help anyone can give.

You know you're a Disc Golf addict if...

57. You play two rounds at the fantastic new course in Huntsville on Sunday afternoon, foregoing any chance of getting home Sunday night (Too many moose in the park after dark).

Monday morning, You get up at 430 am and drive for 4 hours to make a 9 o’clock meeting with two minutes to spare.

You daydream through the meeting and most of the day because all you can think about is playing JCP's Triple Crown at 5

Talk of course records, multiple teepads and underwater holes has forced me to reveal the secret of the Triple Crown to the uninitiated. This JC ironman classic involves playing all the back 9 holes in sucession. Red to Yellow to Blue teepads for 27 holes is the challenge. Current record holder Chuck Schick boasts his -16 will soon be bettered. We shall see.

Long live the Triple Crown! It is great fun, a great idea and a great challenge. Regardless of what you score, all those mid-range shots are sure to improve accuracy and overall ability.

The Triple Crown now carries the Brother André seal of approval!

To answer slutpupy's question about where to start, you start at hole number 7 on the red tees and play them all to number 14 and then start again on the yellow tee pads and finish with the blue tee pads. Be sure to play 13b, too

Great fun and a great challenge, too. Just be sure to sandwich the yellow tees in between the others or else it can be a little disheartenig watching your sub-par round turn into a round of 0...dang...

See you on the course!

Note: the above hole numbering is from the first year the North side was put in. The "real" numbering has you start on "5" and finish on "13". 13b was the name given to the Mando hole. Oh, the Mando hole. Can't wait to play the Mando hole.

it was those missed putts in the first round. too many off the top of the baskets. Nice result though, but one stroke off.
