This is really good news ! !

Congratulations to Carl, it's been a long time coming!

If I'm not mistaken, this is Carl's first win in a singles format, and it's way way way overdue, right on ! ! !

Carl, your game has been at a level where you've deserved a first place for some time now, so I hope you enjoy this to the fullest.

A couple of examples of how windy it was,

On a short hole (15, basket hidden over the slope of the plateau), a cardmate threw directly into the wind and straight at the basket (let's say 12 o'clock direction) and his disc hovered over where the basket is for a split second then caught an invisible elevator straight up to the 4th floor and then was blown about 150 feet back in the 8 o'clock direction into the lake.

On the same hole, a putter I threw into the wind landed about 6 feet out of bounds and just before it settled down, the wind caught the underside and blew it over so it was going to settle top down. The wind caught it again and blew it so it would settle top side up. Did this about 4 times. Essentially it wobbled walked 6 feet back to the out of bounds line.

72 people at this tournament! Way to go Montreal.

Is that probably the best beer in the world being poured for the winner?

The Beer? Very. The day, not very. A little drizzle at 7:30 with a storm booming around us. Pretty windy in the morning, very effin windy in the afternoon and down poured when we were all done. I even pulled out the upside down putt a few times. 15 footers could easily turn into 40 footers.
