If you do end up getting a gold pass then you actually have the option of moving up to Am1 at Belleville or staying in Am2.

I'm pretty sure the last time I played a PDGA event my rating was around 842

<900 is definitely AM2.

Gold Pass is top 3, right?
You've got goals. I'm actually quite excited for you. Your mind should be made up by now.
Good luck!

Its something I noticed in the document detailing ODSA Gold Series:

Quote:
- If a player who has won a Gold Pass has improved their ability of play, to the point that they want to move up and enter into the next division at another Gold Qualifying Tournament, they will be allowed to do so, and then will be eligible to compete and receive a Gold Pass in the higher level division. If they receive a Gold Pass in this higher division, they will be required to relinquish their previously won Gold Pass. This relinquished Gold Pass will be considered null and void. If they fail to achieve a Gold Pass in this higher division, their originally-won Gold Pass remains valid to compete in the Championship in the division in which it was won.

But re-reading it now it seems as its only for the qualifying tourny's and not the final.

Correctish.

Play AM2 at a qualifier, get a gold pass: qualifies you for AM2 at the final.
Play AM1 at a second qualifier, don't get a gold pass: still qualified for AM2 at the final.
Play AM1 at a third qualifier, get a gold pass: qualifies you for AM1 at the final, you are no longer eligible for AM2 at the final.
Play AM2 at a fourth qualifier, no gold pass for you, even if you win the division.

http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/78024

Scores are up.
Andros - 911 rated 1st round
C-Kyle - 896
Little - 903

Jess - 880?
Spike - 934?
Briggs - 958?
Atos - 880?

I'm getting the feeling that they all didn't throw from the same tees, but yet the PDGA thinks they did.

Quote:
10:30 Start Round 1
Long Tees -MPO,FPO,MPM,AM1
Short Tees-FW1,AM2

Andros shoots 4 strokes better (from the same tees) and gets a 897 rated round. Must have rained in the morning.

Atos shoots 9 strokes better for a 906 (Current rating: 856!). That's two rounds playing higher than his rating! Nice. Spike's doing the same.

Jess is holding in there among the Americans.

I keep refreshing the page trying to see if the 3rd (and now the 4th) rounds have been posted. It's only because last year the scores were up before we were teeing off for the next round. Slater's set the standards high. laughing

Did it rain? Who did you play with first round? Did you have a better Sunday than Saturday? How did the Ottawa AMs do? Did Jess end up beating the Americans? Why aren't the scores up (not complaining, just wondering why?)? Did C-Kyle find a place to throw a thumber on the Island? You know, those kind of deets.

It rained the first day. Not too terrible, but enough that it had an effect on play. It was also really windy on day one. Made #9 quite spicy.

Yep it rained a little bit but it was manageable and cleared up eventually.

I played with Kim Scott-Wood, Mike Pay, Tibor and Brian King.

Yes, yes I did. I'll wait until the full results are posted but I made
a lot of ground with a 56 on the shorts Sunday morning.
Jefrey A. Brother wrote:

About average for Ottawa Am's I'd say, there was some tough competition in all divisions.
Jefrey A. Brother wrote:

I think she got second in Am ladies.

I'm not sure, I caught the 7pm boat and missed a bunch of stuff.

He always does. big grin
