Hi Folks,

TIML 2012 is coming up soon and we look forward to players
from eastern Ontario and Quebec, new and experienced,
to come play the Toronto Island Maple Leaf.

This event is for the benefit of the players and the sport alone,
there is no expectation of retention of benefit to the event or its organizers.

Details are on the website!

I might just step into my backyard to play, lol.

For real though, I know Slater has been working hard to make this tournament top notch as always. It will be well worth your time if you can make it down to the Island.

Also be sure to post on DGO if you need a place to stay if you want to avoid d-town hotel prices. I'm sure some of the fine TO folks will host travelers.

Greg Hosfeld`s going. That guy is pretty funny. He`s a magician/juggler as well.

85% in for this event.

I should probably play as an AM2 here though, no?

Play pro

You probably have a decent shot of winning AM2. Depends how many Am1s decide to play pro

Would you play AM2 at any other tournament in Ontario?

Ryan, I can only guess at your official rating, which I'll put at 875 (I'm not looking for a debate here; I base this nice, rounded-up-to-the-nearest-25 number on your ODGC performance ratio which should approximate your PDGA rating).

The PDGA has guidelines for this sort of thing. You aren't going to be on the top card in AM1 looking at that pool. I doubt that's your goal, though.

I just had a look at the AM pools, and Karl Forbes with his over-900 rating is going to be the guy to beat in AM-2. Before anyone starts calling out sand-bagger, you'll note that he's never won an AM2 title at a PDGA event.

Have you won an AM-2 title at a PDGA tournament? Is this what interests you?

If I typed less, I would have put it this way. Or perhaps, "Play for what you want."

The main reason that I would go AM2 is that I wouldn't mind picking up a gold pass for belleville.

I'm pretty sure the last time I played a PDGA event my rating was around 842
