Reminder:
To be eligible to play in the playoffs, you need to have 4 games played on time that count in your GP column of the schedule as the rules state.

It's a free system, Rolly, running the freedom kernel, and free software.

Free as in Freedom!

Except my crappy XP box which holds ODGC scores for the last 8 years or something. One of my biggest development mistakes ever was using MicroDroop products to put that together.

Never again!

You get what you pay for! Razz

As the adage goes, Linux is only free if your time is worthless.

You guys are freedom haters.
Linux is the backbone of the internet and your ticket to a life without the shackles of oppressive EULAs, endless license renewals, and the freedom to do with a computer what you wish!
It only takes time to learn, and dare I suggest that time spent learning is something other than worthless?

It's fine as a server OS. Not so much as a desktop OS. I went through many distributions looking for one I could live with. Never found one. I grew tired of crippled/out of date graphics drivers, out of date system drivers for the latest USB versions, numerous custom modifications to config files like xorg for multiple monitor support, lack of support for the leading applications for software development, graphics/photo editing, and document management, etc.

There were many things I really liked about Linux, but too many things that drove me nuts to use it on a daily basis.

You just need an older computer or less ambitious user requirements, Rob!
As the recent smoke show in my basement proved, you can get good life out of a very old computer!
Rolly's match play stuff, that doesn't need two monitors and USB3.0 support.

By the looks of it, he just needs a whip, and perhaps some sort of dog with a herding instinct.

To paraphrase:

Rob, you just need a shittier computer so that you can properly use a shittier OS.

Perfect, I'd add, and the willingness to be pissed off.
