These are videos of Alex Geisinger who placed 10th at the USADGC. Longarm GG played the first round with him.

There are a few times when he jump putts and at least one or two are clearly illegal. One was for a big deuce in the second round.

I am curious if these violations ever get called at these big tournies. Would like to hear from those of you who have played in major's in the states.

This is what happens when you do. So no. They never get called.

LOL, thats what happens when you make bull shit calls penton. I was almost knee deep in snow, and somehow you could see me leave the ground. I could hardly see my own feet on the ground.

(Note) this was a ice league day in where we all had to park in the small 1/5 of plowed space that was in the parking lot because it had recently dumped snow.

Jump puts are much harder to call then a normal Foot foul. you got to be really focused, have a witness that also is, and prove a point with no mark on the ground to point at as evidence of a foul.

If you dont see the foul, you cant call it. Rule one of refing.

Its hard to say, you would need to tally all the times it happens un-called, to figure that out really. Besides the few individuals that are constantly doing this, does it really happen often?

Technique wise, if your doing a jump putt style putt, and your airborne before releasing the disc your accurcy drops rapidly. You better off just throwing a shot flat footed and in control of your body.

Rolly foot faulted. This is what happens when you call what you see.

I've seen several major tournament rounds. I've seen questionable foot faults. I've never seen it called.

No this is what happens after you have a pissy fit on the hole before because you thought your shot should not have been Syn-ed.

Deflection, I call it injection of the truth. But call it what you like. Reality was there were no backers on your bad call. You had 4 eligible jury members.
Better luck in your ref-ing career.

So Thumber, if you call someone on what you think was an foot fault on a jump putt they say your call is "bullshit", they tell you all the reasons why there was no way you could have seen what you thought you saw, bring in the weather, essentially call you a liar and bring your integrity into the conversation, call on the fact that you had a difficult time two holes before so that was the reason that you called it, say it's so hard to call it because you need others to see it, say that no one else saw it, though they just said it's hard to get others on board and leave with a cute finishing comment of "better luck in your ref-ing career".

Truth be told I was out to get Rolly, in a doubles game, during IL, when he missed the putt, and he had mulligans. I made it up. You caught me. sarcastic eye roll

Would you call someone on it?

And this is why I have for the most part taken the jump putt out of my game. Its always a close call in the best of view's from the ref. Just avoid it, and stick to a stance that is less on the envelope of the rules.

Dude, you did not see my foot leave the ground with your eyes, you could not see the ground. You could not see my foot from the ankle down. How on earth did you see my foot leave the ground? Tell me how you can see through snow? If it was a foot foul, it would have been 2 inches, tops. Ill happily show anyone my jump puts and they can film it with there camera's and slow it down. I have done this myself. the disc is about 12 inches out of my hand when my foot leaves the ground.
your difficult time was actually on the t pad of the hole you called me on.
you blew the call, get over it.

Rolly isn't capable of a legal jump putt. Just ask Penton being evil

Its easy, when your momentum(body weight) is going over the ball of your feet onto your toes, is right when the disc leaves your hand. Any later, and your just messing with your accuracy, any sooner and thats an awkaward putt(kind of like sneezing while breathing in). I wish I was putting this weekend,
