Well what do you do in cases like Claus where he simply didn't record the scores?

Currently my partners and I keep score in our heads.
With the proposed new method we need a score card and someone needs to transcrib the results into a PM and fire it into OMPL central where no one will care to look at it most likely.

Claus has not reported a score since the procedure changed, and I dont think has even played a match since it started.

If you and Surge cant remember your hole by hole score and this is a problem please advise.
Since this is new, for the first month Im going to help you all get used to the procedural change. If your having difficulties adapting for the 1st month Ill help you along the way and wont be too much of a stickler but if your not having a problem and just being stubburn, then that is your decision.

This is it. Just to provide readers insight as to how the match went, just like boxscores in the paper.

I don't think anyone but you is interested. That's what I take from the comments above

Oh, people will be interested as time goes on. You know this same discussion happened when they decided to put real baseball boxscores in the paper? No one cares. Now box scores take up an entire page and are printed on some prime advertising space. You guys will be looking,

Keep in mind, the comments above represent 2/19 players in the league. Thats 11%

In other words Andros, Im trying to be as accomodating as I can to you. You can for this month:
a)Not Comply
b) say surge put GHB in my water, and I cant remember
C)Comply

Next month, when we are all aware of the rule, even if Serge puts GHB in your drink, winner needs to report box score

Disclaimer:
Note Serge and the GHB is hypothetical and based on nothing he has done in reality.

Nope, according to YOUR rules;

Quote:
Reporting Results:
The Winning Player shall report the result of their match to the OMPL Director in a timely manner.
The results shall be reported as follows:
Home Player Name: Score
Away Player Name: Score
The preferred method for the reporting of results is through private message to the OMPL Director via the ODGC forum.
Where the winning player fails to provide the score in a timely manner, the tournament director may, at their discretion, penalize the home player by denying them one or more points, but will not otherwise alter who won the match.

I have reported my scores.

Actually no you have not if were going to be sticklers on the rules, check your formating.

Time is limited around the house, and as I was about to update the rules section with this new procedure, someone woke up and decided it was time to eat. Then I decided it was bed time. I do plan on updating the rules tonight however.

But irrelevant as you were most likely aware of the change before your match, correct?

Andros, answer me this:

If I changed the format of reporting scores from:
Home Player Name: Score
Away Player Name: Score

to:

Away Player Name: Score @ Home Player Name: Score

would I still be getting the same "Im not changing" as I am getting now, and you insisting that you send scores as the rules said when you joined?

To be Clear,
The new procedure will be updated in the rules tonight, and all matches reported from now on will be expected to be reported as the rules say with a box score.

In case for whatever reason I cant update the rules tonight, the new procedure can be found here:

Its not a rule change, its a change in procedure.
The procedure has changed from:
Player A Score
Player B Score
(Although I take any format that can make sense)
to
Player A Score
Player B Score
(BoxScore)
(or anything format that can make sense with an accurate box score)

The rules that pertain to reporting scores still are the same.
The Winning Player shall report the result of their match to the OMPL Director in a timely manner.
The preferred method for the reporting of results is through private message to the OMPL Director via the ODGC forum.
Where the winning player fails to provide the score in a timely manner, the tournament director may, at their discretion, penalize the home player by denying them one or more points, but will not otherwise alter who won the match.

Its like paying taxes,
CRA might change on what you need to report and how you do it (the forms) but the rules still remain the same. Its the process that changes.
