I'm hoping to open up the right hand side by taking out a few small trees and that small oak. I'm also hoping to cut back that growth on the stump so the straight tunnel opens up more.

Not that it matters, but an easy straight/hyzer finish up the gut, but not even thinking about basket; just as far up the right side of middle as possible.

John, don't rush to clear out anything big there; 11 was one of the most exciting holes of the night IMHO. If you're not perfect off the pad, you're straight into scramble mode; what a thrill.

Shane, you're onto this one for its intrigue, right?

Thanks for the input. We had the chat on our card during the round on it.

Always think most of the holes at Ettyville (especially par 4's I'm trying to make) will get longer.

Ya i think the line is there, just very technical. I don't think anything other than some leafy growth needs removing

Its a very scary hole which can really mess up a round and punish you

I have had so many 5s on that hole in the past

I would be *extremely* happey with a five on that hole. Razz

I think you and I have different expectations.

It can be 3'd with a decent drive and approach

I have heard rumors its was 2'd last night from the mids....ridiculous line

Like many wooded holes, this one takes some time to learn. Thumber is looking for the same thing I'm looking for; a decent throw off the tee which gives me an up-and-down for a 3. You are looking to gain as much distance off the tee that you can. Hitting early always sucks. Break the hole down into smaller parts.

I witnessed the 2 last night and that shot is not to be expected more than 20% of the time from any of us regular golfers(not to take away from a great shot BBP)....He was 10ft max from the basket

20% is about 18% more than I would expect lol

Guess that is why his HC is 1.3.....jebus Penton

Thanks. I had a unique chance to get them done this morning.

Thank you for TDing TOSS last night.

Ettyville In-In was a really nice layout. Amazing number of golfers on that course last night. The Shire will be busy for Shane next week, you can be sure.

Props also to John Pytel who rolled the Ettyville greenfees into the Capital Classic fund. We raised another $110 towards this event thanks to John.

Props also to Geoff for running the Pick-Your-Card fundraiser. Those that participated were able to draft their own cards, and they raised $35 for charity in the process. Nice work Geoff, and thanks to those that participated.

Awesome question... I shot a 164g Z Hawk and ended up 10 feet to the right of the basket. Made my putt for the deuce. I wouldn't reccomend this strategy for anyone else. Ehehehe... I think I found the line though although I had a little lady luck on my side no doubt.

Sounds like a deuce on 11 got you right in the money last night.

Yeah, it was funny because I took a line I had never taken before. I just thought it was kinda looking like 9 shorts at the Shire so I threw the same shot I would there and it worked. Magic!
