So I'm seriously thinking of attending this OD tour event. I haven't done any planning yet. So who else is thinking of going?

Also for those that have already signed up, how are you getting there and where are you staying?

Thanks

Did the local crowd have a fun time at the Island OD?

Let's hear those stories...

Round three, Sunday morning.

Sitting in sixth place, AM2, and desperate for every stroke I can get. Step up to the tee on hole 9, and pull a dx teerex out of my bag, because I don't care if it gets permanently lost in the canal up the right hand side.

Lo and behold, I flip the disc out of my hand, and it ends up parked pin-high, but fifteen feet out in the water. OD rules in play, so it's not OB until I decide it's not playable from the water.

Down to the skivvies, and in I go to play it from where it lies, which is in nipple deep, very cold water.

...Missed the birdie putt by about 14 inches.

Finished the weekend in 6th place, 3 back of fifth, and 8 back of moneying.

A fantastic weekend overall, and a great weekend for disc golf. That course ate everyone up, all weekend. The weather was shite, the cardmates were great, and I only wanted to kick my bag once (missed a 10 foot birdie putt on 2) but didn't.

Next stop, De Laveaga.

See you all at TOSS on the 31st.

The weather was pretty awful. It seemed that a bunch of locals dropped out after the first day.

I didn't play well on day 1. Not full-on terrible, just consistently mediocre. Ended the day behind Jess by 1, and I think 4 or 5 ahead of the other ladies.

Day 2, aside from taking an 8 on 8 (epic blow-up on my part), and then ripping a sweet shank into the river, I had an ok day. I was ahead by 6 going into the final round, and I widened that lead in the afternoon.

Sadly, due to a scoring mishap, I'll never know just what the lead was. (There was a definite mis-count of our final round, and the scorecards were thrown out before we noticed).

I am tired and sore all over, and right now I am questioning my sanity as to signing up to play tonight.

Honestly, if I acquire more character, I'll be approaching toxic levels.
