It's not that scientists can't explain the creation of the universe, it's more like they can't test their hypotheses.

Christians don't have that hangup. They make shit up as they go along. Facts be damned!

As an interesting happenstance, this (http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/03/denial-science-chris-mooney) came up in my twittertwatter feed today.

This isn't the place for a religious debate but God decided to create the Universe and BAM! it existed.

The Big Bang says everything was nothing then KABOOM! it existed.

Just pointing out that the two camps, which have so much history steeped in trying to prove the other camps a bunch of loonys, really have the same story.

And that, is why it's called "The Big Bang THEORY".

Not so. While religious groups still cling to stories made thousands of years ago, scientists are constantly trying to find out the real story. No scientist would tell you that it's a fact that one way or another way happened. A person of religion will.

Fair enough assessment.

Ever consider that the big Bang could have been caused by immensely powerful extra dimensions life forms?

Actually, the Big Bang Theory does not describe how nothing became something. It describes how something super dense expanded into what it is today. As you've said, neither "camp" can explain how nothing became something. The two stories go in vastly different directions from there though! smile

You do realise that the Big Bang Theory is not the sole scientific possibility?

I mean, I'm sure you do in fact realise this, but you're writing like it's the only scientific explanation out there.

I'd consider anything. Whether I'd believe it after listening to the evidence is something else.

Not at all. I was actually just pointing out something I saw as ironic and y'all started piling on and discussing. this is why we don't discuss religion on message boards.

Personally I am going to start going with my Immensely powerful extra dimensional creatures who weren't called God Theory

Yeah, but it's generally nicer to say "Christians" than " Mouth-Breathing Religious Nutbags of all Denominations".

FamilyRadio.com has put up a billboard on Walkley "warning", or threatening, the Judgement Day.

I wonder what their advetising budget is? Did they blow the next two years' budget on this event, knowing that they won't need it?

A billboard preaching the end of the Earth. Not really family orientated.

As in Walkley Road??

Yes. Walkley Road.

Man, I've got to bike out there and see this ad... to bad it's so crappy out...
